JATIMTIMES - Seorang pria lanjut usia ditemukan tewas setelah tertabrak kereta api di jalur rel kawasan Jalan Sembilang, Kelurahan Polowijen, Kecamatan Blimbing, Kota Malang, Rabu (22/7/2026) pagi. Polisi menduga korban meninggal akibat bunuh diri setelah rekaman CCTV di lokasi memperlihatkan korban sengaja berbaring di atas rel sesaat sebelum kereta melintas.

Korban diketahui berinisial GS  (77), warga Kecamatan Blimbing, Kota Malang. Peristiwa tersebut terjadi sekitar jalur rel KM 438+800/900. Saat itu, Kereta Api Arjuna Express 66F yang melayani rute Malang-Surabaya melintas di lokasi.

Kejadian pertama kali diketahui oleh penjaga palang pintu kereta api di bawah flyover, Andreas, setelah mendapat informasi dari warga bahwa ada seseorang yang tertabrak kereta. Bersama seorang saksi lainnya, ia kemudian menuju lokasi dan mendapati korban sudah tergeletak di sisi timur rel dalam kondisi meninggal dunia.

Peristiwa itu selanjutnya dilaporkan ke Polsek Blimbing. Petugas gabungan dari Polsek Blimbing, Unit Identifikasi Polresta Malang Kota, tim evakuasi, serta ambulans kemudian mendatangi lokasi untuk melakukan olah tempat kejadian perkara (TKP) dan mengevakuasi jenazah ke Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) dr. Saiful Anwar (RSSA) Malang untuk dilakukan visum.

Kasi Humas Polresta Malang Kota, Ipda Lukman Sobhikin, membenarkan adanya peristiwa tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil olah TKP dan pemeriksaan rekaman kamera pengawas (CCTV), korban diduga sengaja berada di atas rel sebelum kereta api melintas.

“Dari hasil pemeriksaan di lokasi, termasuk rekaman CCTV, korban diduga sengaja berbaring di atas rel sesaat sebelum kereta api melintas. Namun demikian, penyidik masih melakukan pendalaman untuk memastikan seluruh rangkaian peristiwa,” kata Lukman.

Ia menambahkan, tidak ditemukan tanda-tanda adanya tindak pidana lain di lokasi kejadian. Jenazah korban telah dievakuasi ke RSSA Malang untuk menjalani pemeriksaan medis.

“Jenazah telah dievakuasi ke RSSA untuk dilakukan visum. Kami juga berkoordinasi dengan pihak keluarga serta terus melengkapi proses penyelidikan sesuai prosedur,” imbuhnya.

Pihaknya mengimbau masyarakat agar tidak beraktivitas di sekitar jalur rel kereta api karena selain membahayakan keselamatan, kawasan tersebut merupakan area terbatas yang hanya diperuntukkan bagi operasional perkeretaapian.

Terpisah Manajer Humas KAI Daop 8 Surabaya, Mahendro Trang Bawono, mengatakan masinis menghentikan laju kereta sesaat setelah kejadian untuk memastikan kondisi rangkaian dan lokomotif tetap aman dioperasikan.

“Sesuai prosedur keselamatan, kereta berhenti sejenak agar dilakukan pemeriksaan terhadap rangkaian dan lokomotif. Setelah dipastikan dalam kondisi aman, perjalanan kembali dilanjutkan,” ujar Mahendro.

Ia menjelaskan, proses pemeriksaan tersebut menyebabkan KA Arjuno Ekspres 66F mengalami keterlambatan sekitar dua menit dari jadwal perjalanan.

Mahendro juga menyampaikan belasungkawa atas peristiwa tersebut. Ia mengingatkan masyarakat agar tidak memasuki ataupun melakukan aktivitas di area jalur kereta api karena kawasan tersebut merupakan zona terbatas yang diperuntukkan bagi operasional perkeretaapian.

“Kami turut prihatin atas kejadian ini. Kami mengimbau masyarakat untuk tidak berada atau beraktivitas di sekitar rel kereta api karena selain membahayakan keselamatan diri, juga berpotensi mengganggu kelancaran perjalanan kereta,” tutupnya.
