JATIMTIMES - Sebuah ranting kayu alami milik mahasiswi Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), Aisyah Chustiya, berhasil mengharumkan nama Indonesia setelah keluar sebagai juara dalam Stick Nation Wood Cup 2026, kompetisi internasional yang mempertemukan ranting atau tongkat kayu unik dari berbagai negara.

Tongkat yang dijuluki "Maui Hook" itu berhasil meraih gelar juara melalui sistem voting publik di media sosial. Ajang yang diselenggarakan oleh komunitas global melalui akun @officialstickreviews tersebut diikuti oleh perwakilan dari 64 negara.

Berawal dari Temuan Tak Sengaja di Pantai

Di balik kemenangan tersebut, terdapat kisah sederhana yang kemudian menjadi perhatian komunitas pecinta ranting kayu di berbagai negara.

Tongkat "Maui Hook" ditemukan secara tidak sengaja oleh Aisyah saat berada di kawasan pantai di Indonesia usai bekerja. Saat bersantai di tepi pantai, ia menemukan ranting kayu dengan bentuk lengkungan alami yang unik dan menyerupai kail ajaib milik karakter Maui dalam film animasi Moana. Dari situlah nama "Maui Hook" kemudian disematkan pada tongkat tersebut.

Aisyah kemudian mengunggah foto tongkat itu ke media sosial hingga akhirnya menarik perhatian komunitas internasional pecinta ranting kayu.

Stick Nation Wood Cup 2026 merupakan turnamen unik yang mempertemukan ranting atau tongkat kayu alami dengan bentuk paling menarik dari berbagai negara. Seluruh pemenang setiap babak ditentukan melalui mekanisme voting publik di media sosial.

Kompetisi yang berlangsung selama beberapa pekan itu bahkan dijuluki warganet sebagai "stick mayhem" karena antusiasme para pendukung dari berbagai negara.

Perjalanan Indonesia menuju gelar juara tidak mudah. Pada babak semifinal, "Maui Hook" berhasil mengalahkan wakil Brasil. Selanjutnya, di partai final, tongkat asal Indonesia sukses menumbangkan tongkat berbentuk wizard staff atau tongkat penyihir milik perwakilan Norwegia.

Hasil voting akhirnya menetapkan "Maui Hook" sebagai juara Stick Nation Wood Cup 2026.

Setelah diumumkan sebagai pemenang, Aisyah mengunggah foto dirinya bersama "Maui Hook" sebagai bentuk pemenuhan nazar yang sebelumnya ia ucapkan apabila tongkat tersebut berhasil menjadi juara.
