JATIMTIMES - Kebakaran terjadi di sebuah rumah warga di Desa Genengan, Kecamatan Pakisaji, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur pada Rabu, 8 Juli 2026. Dugaan sementara, kebakaran disebabkan  kelalaian hingga menyebabkan kerugian mencapai puluhan juta.

Informasi  adanya peristiwa kebakaran tersebut juga sempat viral dan beredar di sejumlah WhatsApp group. Berdasarkan dokumentasi yang dihimpun JatimTIMES, tampak sejumlah personel pemadam kebakaran (damkar) yang berupaya melakukan penanggulangan di lokasi kejadian.

Komandan Pleton (Danton) Seksi Penanggulangan Bidang Damkar Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol PP) Kabupaten Malang Andik Minarko menyebut,  kebakaran tersebut terjadi pada Rabu (8/7/2026) sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB. "Indikasi sumber api penyebab kebakaran diduga karena kelalaian," ujarnya.

Data damkar mengungkapkan, bangunan rumah seluas 7 x 10 meter yang mengalami kebakaran tersebut  milik  Endang Cahyani (36). "Nihil korban jiwa pada peristiwa kebakaran tersebut. Sementara untuk kerugian material kurang lebih Rp30 juta," ujarnya.

Kronologi kebakaran bermula saat pemilik rumah berpergian ke Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil (Dispendukcapil) Kabupaten Malang guna mengurus kartu keluarga (KK). Saat itu, sang pemilik rumah tersebut sempat hendak mengajak anaknya. Namun sang anak tidak mau diajak karena ingin di rumah menemani neneknya.

"Ketika berada di dalam kamar, anak tersebut kemungkin bermain korek api. Sehingga membakar selimut dan menjalar ke seluruh ruangan dan beberapa bagian rumah," jelasnya.

Mengetahui adanya kebakaran tersebut, anak beserta neneknya segera menyelamatkan diri. Mereka kemudian meminta pertolongan kepada para tetangga termasuk untuk menelepon Damkar Kabupaten Malang guna meminta bantuan.

"Kami menerjunkan dua unit mobil PMK (pemadam kebakaran) beserta enam personel ke lokasi kejadian," tuturnya.

Saat itu,  pemadaman kebakaran juga turut melibatkan sejumlah personel gabungan. Yakni mulai  personel Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Kabupaten Malang, hingga personel dari Pemerintah Kecamatan Pakisaji.

"Api berhasil dipadamkan sekitar 25 menit setelah petugas melakukan tindakan penanggulangan," pungkasnya.
