Mi Instan Rasa Ayam Diduga Terkontaminasi Salmonella, Kasus Merebak di 14 Negara

JATIMTIMES - Otoritas kesehatan dan keamanan pangan di Eropa tengah menangani wabah infeksi Salmonella yang diduga berkaitan dengan produk mi instan berbumbu rasa ayam. Hingga kini, sebanyak 106 kasus telah dikonfirmasi di 14 negara dengan sebagian besar pasien merupakan anak-anak dan orang dewasa muda.

Berdasarkan laporan bersama European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) dan European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), sedikitnya 49 penderita harus menjalani perawatan di rumah sakit akibat infeksi tersebut.
Hasil penyelidikan sementara menunjukkan produk mi instan berbumbu menjadi sumber yang paling mungkin memicu penyebaran bakteri di sejumlah negara Eropa.

"Produk mi berbumbu merupakan sumber yang paling mungkin dari wabah infeksi yang masih berlangsung di berbagai negara, dengan bukti yang mengaitkan kasus-kasus tersebut pada produk dari merek yang sama," tulis EFSA dan ECDC, dikutip AP News, Senin (6/7/2026). 

Meski demikian, kedua lembaga tersebut belum mengungkap nama merek produk yang dimaksud. Mereka hanya menyebut kasus-kasus tersebut berkaitan dengan bakteri Salmonella Stanley yang ditelusuri berasal dari produsen mi instan di Ukraina.

Dalam perkembangan terpisah, perusahaan distribusi Reeva Foods mengonfirmasi adanya dugaan kontaminasi Salmonella Stanley pada salah satu batch mi instan yang dipasarkan di kawasan Baltik. Produk tersebut diproduksi oleh Euro Food Service, perusahaan asal Ukraina.

Perusahaan menyatakan batch yang diduga terkontaminasi telah ditarik dari peredaran sebagai langkah pencegahan. Selain melakukan penarikan produk, perusahaan juga memperketat pengawasan melalui serangkaian pengujian laboratorium independen, audit kepatuhan, pemantauan lingkungan produksi, hingga evaluasi sistem keamanan pangan.

"Keselamatan konsumen adalah prioritas utama kami," demikian pernyataan perusahaan.

Menurut data EFSA dan ECDC, infeksi Salmonella Stanley telah ditemukan di sedikitnya 14 negara di Eropa, yaitu:
• Austria
• Britania Raya
• Ceko
• Denmark
• Estonia
• Prancis
• Jerman
• Hungaria
• Latvia
• Lithuania
• Belanda
• Norwegia
• Polandia
• Swedia
Investigasi laboratorium menemukan strain wabah pada sampel mi instan rasa ayam dan ayam pedas di Jerman serta Lithuania. Meski begitu, otoritas menyatakan penyelidikan masih terus dilakukan untuk memastikan sumber pasti kontaminasi.

Gejala Infeksi Salmonella

Salmonella merupakan bakteri penyebab gangguan saluran pencernaan yang dapat menimbulkan gejala beberapa jam hingga beberapa hari setelah seseorang mengonsumsi makanan yang terkontaminasi.

Gejala yang paling sering muncul meliputi:
• Diare
• Demam
• Mual dan muntah
• Kram perut
• Dehidrasi

Sebagian besar penderita dapat pulih dalam waktu sekitar satu minggu tanpa komplikasi serius. Namun, infeksi berisiko menjadi berat pada bayi dan anak kecil, lansia, ibu hamil, maupun orang dengan daya tahan tubuh yang lemah sehingga membutuhkan penanganan medis di rumah sakit.

Otoritas kesehatan Eropa mengimbau masyarakat yang memiliki produk dari batch yang diduga terkontaminasi untuk tidak mengonsumsinya hingga hasil investigasi selesai. Masyarakat juga diminta segera memeriksakan diri ke fasilitas kesehatan apabila mengalami gejala setelah mengonsumsi produk mi instan yang dicurigai terkait dengan wabah tersebut.
