JATIMTIMES - Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) Kota Malang menyoroti rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap aturan lalu lintas, khususnya terkait penggunaan jalur sepeda dan kepatuhan terhadap rambu serta marka jalan.
Kepala Dishub Kota Malang, Widjaja Saleh Putra menegaskan bahwa marka hijau pada jalur sepeda merupakan area yang dilarang untuk berhenti maupun parkir. Menurutnya, pengendara seharusnya memahami aturan tersebut meski tanpa kehadiran petugas di lapangan.

“Marka hijau itu berarti larangan untuk ditempati berhenti maupun parkir. Itu khusus untuk pesepeda. Jadi harus dipahami oleh pengendara,” ujar Jaya sapaan akrabnya, Senin (4/5/2026).
Ia mengatakan, Dishub akan segera mengambil langkah penertiban bersama sejumlah organisasi perangkat daerah (OPD). Penanganan tidak hanya menyasar kendaraan yang parkir sembarangan, tetapi juga pedagang kaki lima (PKL) yang dinilai turut memicu kemacetan dan mengganggu fungsi jalan.
Dishub Kota Malang disebut akan berkoordinasi dengan Satpol PP dan Diskopindag untuk melakukan penataan kawasan tersebut. Sosialisasi juga bakal digencarkan seiring penerapan Peraturan Daerah (Perda) dan Peraturan Wali Kota (Perwal) yang tengah diproses.
“Mudah-mudahan secepatnya sanksi bisa diterapkan. Tapi sebelum Perwal efektif berjalan pun, masyarakat sebenarnya tetap wajib mematuhi aturan lalu lintas,” katanya.
Jaya menegaskan, pemilik surat izin mengemudi (SIM) semestinya telah memahami tata tertib berlalu lintas. Karena itu, pelanggaran parkir di jalur sepeda maupun aktivitas lain yang mengganggu arus kendaraan tidak bisa lagi dianggap hal biasa.
Selain persoalan parkir liar, Dishub juga menyoroti kebiasaan penyeberang jalan yang tidak menggunakan fasilitas zebra cross, termasuk di kawasan sekolah. Menurut Widjaja, perilaku tersebut justru memberi contoh buruk bagi anak-anak.

Ia mengungkapkan bahwa pihaknya sudah beberapa kali memanggil pihak sekolah, termasuk madrasah dan taman kanak-kanak di lokasi terkait. Bahkan, teguran telah dilakukan hingga empat kali karena masih ditemukan orang tua murid menyeberang sembarangan di area tikungan jalan.
“Padahal jaraknya tidak sampai 25 meter sudah ada zebra cross, tapi masih menyeberang bukan pada tempatnya. Itu sangat membahayakan,” tegasnya.
Dishub berharap kesadaran masyarakat terhadap keselamatan berlalu lintas dapat meningkat, terutama di kawasan pendidikan dan jalur sepeda yang kini mulai banyak disalahgunakan.
