JATIMTIMES – May Day atau peringatan hari buruh di Kota Batu dipastikan tidak ada aksi massa buruh seperti di berbagai daerah. Pemkot Batu sendiri melakukan Peringatan Hari Buruh Internasional 2026 dengan penghargaan pekerja dan industri. Yakni menyoroti peranan pada ekosistem pariwisata daerah.

Pemerintah daerah mengalihkan fokus pada penguatan hubungan industrial melalui skema apresiasi. Menurut Plt Wali Kota Batu Heli Suyanto, kondisi tenang di kota wisata ini menjadi indikator stabilitas sektor ketenagakerjaan yang berdampak langsung pada kelancaran industri jasa dan pariwisata.

Pemerintah menilai peran pekerja memiliki fungsi vital sebagai fondasi kemajuan daerah, terutama dalam menjaga kualitas pelayanan publik. Heli menjelaskan bahwa dedikasi pekerja di berbagai lini, mulai dari sektor perhotelan, restoran, hingga destinasi hiburan, merupakan kunci daya tarik wisatawan.

Selain itu, peran buruh tani dan pekerja konstruksi juga disebut sebagai elemen penting dalam menjaga ketersediaan pangan serta pembangunan infrastruktur kota.

"Tanpa pelayanan dan kerja keras para pekerja di lapangan, kenyamanan wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Batu tidak akan terjamin. Mereka adalah penggerak roda ekonomi daerah," ujar Heli, Sabtu (2/5/2026).

Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, Kepala Disnaker Kota Batu, Mokhamad Forkan, menyatakan bahwa pemerintah tengah menyiapkan Nakers Award 2026. Agenda ini dirancang sebagai bentuk penghargaan bagi perusahaan yang memiliki komitmen dalam memenuhi hak dan kesejahteraan tenaga kerja.

Langkah ini bertujuan untuk mendorong terciptanya hubungan industrial yang sehat antara pihak pekerja dan pengusaha. Forkan menekankan bahwa keberlangsungan usaha merupakan faktor krusial yang harus berjalan beriringan dengan pemenuhan hak-hak buruh guna menjaga perputaran ekonomi kota tetap stabil.

“Kami ingin ada keseimbangan. Di samping hak pekerja yang diperjuangkan, peran pengusaha sebagai penyedia lapangan kerja juga perlu diperhatikan agar tercipta iklim kerja yang harmonis,” jelas Forkan.

Pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat mengubah pola hubungan industrial dari yang semula didominasi tuntutan satu pihak menjadi kerja sama fungsional. Dengan terjaganya stabilitas di sektor ketenagakerjaan, pemerintah optimis iklim investasi dan kenyamanan publik di Kota Batu dapat terus dipertahankan.

"Jadi, peringatan May Day tahun ini diarahkan pada evaluasi produktivitas dan pembenahan kesejahteraan secara internal," imbuhnya.
