JATIMTIMES - Produk face spray kini semakin beragam di pasaran. Mulai dari face mist, serum spray, primer spray, setting spray hingga fixing spray. Sayangnya, masih banyak pengguna yang menganggap semua produk berbentuk spray memiliki fungsi yang sama, padahal masing-masing memiliki kegunaan yang berbeda.

Beauty content creator Dinda Azzura menjelaskan bahwa tidak semua face spray bisa disebut sebagai setting spray. Setiap jenis produk memiliki fungsi dan waktu penggunaan yang berbeda dalam rangkaian skincare maupun makeup.

“Banyak banget produk yang bentukannya spray, tapi nggak semuanya bisa kita sebut setting spray,” kata Dinzzur, sapaan akrab Dinda Azzura.

Dinzzur mengawali penjelasannya dengan face mist, yang merupakan jenis face spray paling sederhana. Fungsi utamanya adalah menyegarkan kulit sekaligus memberikan hidrasi. Beberapa produk juga dilengkapi kandungan antibakteri atau manfaat tambahan lainnya, tergantung formulanya.

“Kalau kulit terasa kering, habis seharian di ruangan ber-AC, atau ingin menyegarkan wajah setelah makeup, face mist boleh dipakai. Tapi gunanya bukan untuk bikin makeup lebih tahan lama,” jelasnya.

Berikutnya adalah serum spray, yaitu face mist yang telah diperkaya dengan bahan aktif skincare. Dinzzur menilai produk ini tetap berfokus pada perawatan kulit, bahkan bisa digunakan sebagai pelengkap skincare setelah moisturizer maupun sebagai primer ringan sebelum makeup.

“Serum spray ini adalah face mist yang mengandung bahan skincare aktif. Jadi, tujuan utamanya tetap skincare, bukan setting spray,” imbuh Dinzzur.

Berbeda dengan dua jenis sebelumnya, primer spray mulai berorientasi pada persiapan makeup. Produk ini digunakan setelah rangkaian skincare selesai untuk membantu kulit lebih siap menerima makeup.

Menurut Dinzzur, setiap primer spray memiliki fungsi yang berbeda sesuai formulanya, mulai dari memberikan hidrasi, mengontrol minyak (mattifying), hingga membuat makeup lebih menempel di kulit.

“Intinya bikin kulit kita ready untuk menerima makeup supaya hasil akhirnya lebih optimal,” tambah ibu dua anak ini.

Sementara itu, setting spray memiliki fungsi utama menyempurnakan tampilan makeup. Namun Dinzzur menegaskan bahwa tidak semua setting spray otomatis membuat riasan lebih tahan lama.

“Setting spray itu nggak semuanya bisa bantu ketahanan makeup. Banyak yang fungsinya bikin makeup lebih melt dan mengubah hasil akhirnya, misalnya dari matte menjadi lebih glowy atau satin,” terangnya.

Meski demikian, ia mengakui ada setting spray tertentu yang memang mampu meningkatkan daya tahan makeup. Namun, menurut dia, terdapat kategori lain yang lebih fokus untuk mengunci riasan, yaitu fixing spray.

“Kalau fixing spray, gampangnya ini seperti setting spray yang naik satu level lagi untuk mengunci ketahanan makeup. Memang ada beberapa produk yang sebenarnya lebih mengarah ke fixing spray, tapi tetap diberi label setting spray,” ungkap Dinzzur.

Ia pun mengimbau masyarakat tidak terpaku pada nama produk semata, melainkan memahami fungsi dan formulanya sebelum membeli.

“Nggak usah dipusingkan atau diperdebatkan soal istilahnya. Yang paling penting adalah memahami kebutuhan kulit dan tujuan penggunaan produknya,” tutup Dinzzur.
