JATIMTIMES – Arus lalu lintas di kawasan strategis Simpang Patih yang akrab dikenal sebagai Simpang Orchid Kota Batu resmi mengalami perubahan total mulai awal Juni ini. Seiring dieksekusinya proyek preservasi infrastruktur oleh pemerintah daerah, ruas jalan di kawasan perempatan tersebut dipastikan ditutup penuh selama lebih dari tiga bulan untuk mempercepat pengerjaan fisik.
Langkah penutupan total selama 24 jam non-stop ini diambil demi menunjang perubahan konstruksi jalan yang semula aspal menjadi jalan beton (rigid pavement). Selain pembetonan, proyek besar ini juga mencakup penataan ulang serta pelebaran area persimpangan yang mengubungkan titik Jalan Indragiri, Jalan Trunojoyo, dan Jalan Hasanudin.

Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (DPUPR) Kota Batu, Esty Dwiastuti memaparkan bahwa penutupan jalur secara total tidak dapat dihindari karena teknis pengecoran beton membutuhkan waktu pengeringan yang maksimal. Struktur jalan baru tersebut dirancang lebih lebar untuk mengurai beban volume kendaraan yang kerap menumpuk di kawasan hulu tersebut.
"Proyek preservasi ini sengaja kami tutup total demi menjaga kualitas beton. Untuk rencana ke depan, pelebaran jalan di titik persimpangan tersebut nantinya akan menyentuh angka sekitar 10 meter," ujar Esty Dwiastuti, beberapa waktu lalu.
Guna mencegah terjadinya kelumpuhan arus kendaraan, DPUPR telah mematangkan koordinasi dengan Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) Kota Batu untuk menerapkan skema rekayasa lalu lintas yang ketat. Peta pemblokiran jalan utamanya membentang sepanjang 100 meter, terhitung mulai dari pertigaan depan Indomaret hingga area tugu batas Desa Pesanggrahan.
Kepala Bidang Lalu Lintas Dishub Kota Batu Ahmad Supriyanto menjelaskan bahwa pihaknya membagi jalur alternatif berdasarkan spesifikasi dan tonase kendaraan. Kendaraan roda dua serta mobil pribadi, arus lalu lintas diarahkan masuk melintasi Jalan Mawar dan Jalan Melati.
"Bagi pengguna jalan yang memakai kendaraan pribadi dan motor, silakan memanfaatkan akses Jalan Mawar dan Jalan Melati. Namun kami tegaskan, jalur alternatif pemukiman ini terlarang keras untuk dilewati kendaraan besar seperti bus pariwisata atau truk karena lebar jalannya sangat terbatas," tegas Ahmad Supriyanto saat dikonfirmasi awak media, kemarin.

Ahmad menguraikan, kendaraan besar angkutan barang dan bus pariwisata yang hendak menuju arah Pujon maupun sebaliknya, wajib memutar melalui rute Jalan Suropati. Dari titik simpang taman makam pahlawan (TMP), kendaraan besar diarahkan melaju ke Jalan Imam Bonjol, melintasi persimpangan BCA, lalu masuk ke Jalan Panglima Sudirman hingga menembus kembali ke jalur utama Jalan Trunojoyo.
Guna menghalau bus dan truk nakal yang nekat menerobos jalur pemukiman, Dishub telah memasang pembatas jalan (barrier) kokoh di mulut Jalan Mawar dan Jalan Melati, lengkap dengan papan informasi pengalihan arus di sejumlah titik mati. Penyiapan personel manual juga disiagakan di kawasan Hasanudin Utara dan Selatan untuk mengantisipasi lonjakan arus wisata saat akhir pekan.
"Sesuai dengan ikatan kontrak kerja yang berjalan, proyek preservasi jalan beton ini ditargetkan rampung dalam waktu 150 hari kalender atau sekitar bulan September mendatang. Jika akhir pekan arus mulai padat, petugas di lapangan akan langsung melakukan sistem buka-tutup secara manual," pungkas Ahmad.
