JATIMTIMES - Sebuah truk bermuatan tebu mengalami kecelakaan saat melintas di kawasan Jalan Raya Thamrin, Kecamatan Lawang, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur pada Jumat (12/6/2026). Dalam insiden kecelakaan tersebut turut memicu terjadinya kemacetan lantaran truk dan muatannya terguling di tengah jalan.
Peristiwa kecelakaan tersebut juga sempat viral di media sosial (medsos). Berdasarkan rekaman video amatir yang dihimpun JatimTIMES dari sejumlah akun Instagram, nampak muatan tebu dari truk tersebut terguling hingga ke pinggir jalan.

Muatan tebu tersebut juga terlihat menimpa sejumlah kendaraan mulai dari mobil hingga sepeda motor yang terparkir di sekitar lokasi kejadian. Di sisi lain, sejumlah barang jualan milik pedagang juga turut tertimpa tebu dari muatan truk terguling di Lawang tersebut.
Postingan tersebut kemudian viral dan menuai beragam komentar dari warganet. Di mana, sebagian dari mereka mengaku jika hingga Jumat (12/6/2026) malam situasi lalu lintas masih terdampak kemacetan akibat kecelakaan tersebut.
Sejumlah personel kepolisian telah diterjunkan ke lokasi kejadian untuk melakukan penanganan pasca kecelakaan. Sementara muatan tebu yang terguling di tengah hingga pinggir jalan tersebut nampak sedang dalam proses evakuasi.
Kasatlantas Polres Malang AKP Muhammad Alif Chelvin Arliska menyebut, insiden kecelakaan yang kini viral tersebut terjadi pada Jumat (12/6/2026) sore. "Kejadiannya kurang lebih sekitar pukul 15.20 WIB," ujarnya.
Data kepolisian mengungkapkan, identitas sopir truk pengangkut tebu tersebut diketahui bernama Muntari. Pria yang kini berusia 51 tahun tersebut merupakan warga asal Kecamatan Padang, Kabupaten Lumajang, Jawa Timur.
"Nihil korban jiwa dalam peristiwa laka tunggal tersebut," ujarnya.

Lebih lanjut, disampaikan Kanit Penegakan Hukum (Gakkum) Satlantas Polres Malang Ipda Samsul Khoiruddin, truk pengangkut tebu yang mengalami kecelakaan tunggal tersebut berasal dari Kabupaten Lumajang. Rencananya, tebu tersebut hendak di kirim ke Pabrik Gula (PG) Kebonagung, Kecamatan Pakisaji, Kabupaten Malang.
"Truk muatan tebu tersebut dari Lumajang mau di bawa ke Kebonagung. Dugaan awal kecelakaan disebabkan karena rem blong," jelasnya.
Sesaat setelah menerima laporan adanya kecelakaan, disampaikan Samsul, sejumlah personel kepolisian langsung diterjunkan ke lokasi kejadian. Petugas kemudian membantu proses evakuasi hingga mengatur lalu lintas yang sempat mengalami kemacetan akibat adanya kecelakaan tersebut.
Hingga akhirnya, sekitar empat jam setelah kejadian, pihak kepolisian mengkonfirmasi jika truk yang sempat terguling tersebut telah tertangani. "Saat ini truk sudah dievakuasi," pungkas Samsul saat dikonfirmasi Jumat (12/6/2026) malam pada sekitar pukul 20.00 WIB.
