JATIMTIMES – Ajang bergengsi Festival Lomba Seni dan Sastra Siswa Nasional (FLS3N) jenjang SMP tingkat Kota Batu kembali digelar. FLS3N 2026 diikuti ratusan pelajar setingkat SMP ini dibuka pada Selasa (12/5/2026).
Ajang ini menjadi panggung bagi talenta muda untuk menunjukkan kreativitas serta inovasi dalam bidang seni dan budaya. FLS3N diikuti oleh perwakilan pelajar SMP negeri maupun swasta se-Kota Batu.

Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kota Batu Alfi Nurhidayat menegaskan bahwa seni bukan sekadar hobi, melainkan media krusial untuk membangun karakter, mengasah kepekaan rasa, serta melatih kedisiplinan dan sportivitas siswa.
"Sebagai kota yang sedang bertransformasi menuju pusat kreativitas, ajang FLS3N ini menjadi momentum penting untuk menemukan bintang-bintang baru dari kalangan pelajar SMP di Kota Batu," ujar Alfi Nurhidayat.
Melalui berbagai cabang lomba seperti tari kreasi, menyanyi splo, pantomim, hingga ilustrasi, Dinas Pendidikan berupaya mempersiapkan generasi emas yang cerdas secara akademik sekaligus kaya secara spiritual dan kreatif.
Alfi menaruh harapan besar agar prestasi yang diraih para siswa tidak hanya berhenti di tingkat lokal, namun mampu menembus tingkat Provinsi Jawa Timur hingga level nasional.
"Tampilkanlah yang terbaik dari apa yang telah kalian latih. Jangan takut berekspresi dan berinovasi karena di panggung ini, kalian adalah duta-duta seni dari sekolah masing-masing," ujarnya kepada peserta.

Ia juga berpesan agar para peserta menjadikan ajang ini sebagai sarana untuk saling menginspirasi dan mempererat persahabatan antar-pelajar. Pengalaman berkompetisi di panggung besar dianggap sebagai modal berharga bagi masa depan para talenta muda tersebut.
Ia juga memberikan apresiasi setinggi-tingginya kepada para kepala sekolah, guru pendamping, dan orang tua yang telah mendedikasikan waktu untuk membimbing para siswa. Dengan menitipkan kepercayaan pada dewan juri agar berintegritas, Alfi berharap terjadi persaingan sehat antar sekolah.
"Kami optimis bahwa potensi seni yang dimiliki anak-anak Kota Batu siap melesat dan bersaing di kancah yang lebih luas, bahkan hingga mendunia," imbuhnya.
