JATIMTIMES – Peringatan Hari Krida Pertanian (HKP) ke-54 tahun 2026 menjadi momentum krusial bagi insan pertanian di Kabupaten Magetan untuk mengevaluasi sekaligus merefleksikan capaian sektor agraris. DPD Himpunan Kerukunan Tani Indonesia (HKTI) Kabupaten Magetan menegaskan pentingnya rasa syukur atas keberhasilan berbagai program pertanian, sekaligus memperkuat kewaspadaan terhadap tantangan global yang semakin kompleks.
Ketua HKTI Kabupaten Magetan periode 2025-2030, Hendrad Subyakto, menyampaikan ucapan selamat Hari Krida Pertanian ke-54 sebagai bentuk apresiasi atas kerja keras seluruh petani dan pihak terkait yang terus menjaga ketahanan pangan daerah.

Menghadapi dinamika sektor agraris saat ini, Hendrad membeberkan dua tantangan utama yang menjadi pekerjaan rumah (PR) besar bagi pembangunan pertanian di Magetan, yakni keberlanjutan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dan efisiensi biaya produksi.
Ia menyoroti tren regenerasi petani yang kian mengkhawatirkan, di mana minat generasi muda untuk menekuni dunia pertanian mulai menurun.
"Tantangan pertama adalah SDM dan keberlanjutan. Generasi muda yang mau menekuni dunia pertanian saat ini sudah mulai langka. Padahal, masa depan ketahanan pangan sangat bergantung pada mereka," jelasnya.
Tantangan kedua berkaitan erat dengan efisiensi biaya produksi di tengah persaingan harga pasar yang semakin kompetitif. Menurutnya, keberhasilan dan keberlanjutan usaha tani sangat ditentukan oleh kemampuan mengelola biaya agar hasil panen tetap memberikan keuntungan yang layak.
"Persaingan harga ke depan akan semakin ketat. Siapa yang bisa bertahan dan eksis adalah mereka yang mampu menekan biaya produksi sehingga harga jualnya tetap menguntungkan," tegas Ketua HKTI Magetan tersebut.

Untuk menjawab tantangan regenerasi, HKTI Magetan berkomitmen memberikan pemahaman dan bukti nyata kepada para pemuda bahwa sektor pertanian memiliki prospek ekonomi yang sangat menjanjikan.
Hendrad menekankan pentingnya mengikis stigma lama yang menempatkan petani pada kasta sosial rendah dengan tingkat pendapatan terbatas. Melalui integrasi teknologi dan inovasi modern, pertanian mampu menjelma menjadi sektor usaha terdepan.
"Kita harus memberi gambaran kepada anak-anak muda bahwa pertanian bisa dijadikan ruang penghidupan yang menjanjikan. Selama ini ada persepsi seolah petani itu kasta rendah dan berpendapatan kecil. Padahal, dengan inovasi teknologi dan terobosan baru, hasil dari sektor pertanian justru bisa sangat tinggi dan melebihi profesi lainnya," paparnya.
HKTI Magetan berharap peringatan Hari Krida Pertanian 2026 ini mampu menjadi pemantik semangat bersama dalam mewujudkan pertanian yang maju, petani yang sejahtera, serta mendukung penuh tercapainya kedaulatan pangan nasional.
