JATIMTIMES - Asosiasi Floorball Indonesia (AFI) Kota Malang resmi melepas tim putra dan putri yang akan berlaga pada Kejuaraan Provinsi (Kejurprov) Jawa Timur 2026. Pelepasan menjadi penanda kesiapan para atlet membawa nama Kota Malang di ajang tingkat provinsi tersebut.
Ketua AFI Kota Malang Suryadi mengatakan, perjuangan menjadi seorang atlet membutuhkan proses panjang. Menurut dia, prestasi tidak lahir secara instan, melainkan melalui kerja keras, disiplin, pengorbanan, serta latihan yang konsisten.

"Kami sangat mengapresiasi perjuangan dan dedikasi para atlet, pelatih, ofisial, serta seluruh pihak yang telah mendukung perkembangan olahraga floorball di Kota Malang," ujarnya.
Suryadi meminta para atlet bertanding dengan penuh percaya diri dan menjunjung tinggi sportivitas. Ia menegaskan target meraih kemenangan harus diimbangi dengan menjaga nama baik Kota Malang selama kompetisi berlangsung.
"Berangkatlah dengan penuh keyakinan. Tunjukkan bahwa atlet Kota Malang memiliki semangat juang, disiplin, sportivitas, dan mental juara. Berikan kemampuan terbaik hingga pertandingan terakhir," ujarnya.
Ia juga mengingatkan para atlet agar tidak gentar menghadapi lawan. Menurutnya, kepercayaan terhadap kemampuan diri, kekompakan tim, dan hasil latihan menjadi modal utama menghadapi persaingan di Kejurprov.

Acara pelepasan diikuti seluruh atlet floorball putra dan putri Kota Malang. Kegiatan tersebut turut dihadiri Wakil Ketua III AFI Kota Malang Yudo Nugroho, Sekretaris AFI Kota Malang Joko Purwosusanto, Kepala SMA Negeri 8 Malang Nuraeni, jajaran pelatih, ofisial, orang tua atlet, serta pengurus AFI Kota Malang.
Menutup sambutannya, Suryadi mengajak seluruh atlet bertanding dengan penuh kebanggaan dan membawa pulang prestasi terbaik bagi Kota Malang.
"Bawa semangat Kota Malang, jaga sportivitas, dan berjuanglah dengan penuh kebanggaan. Semoga pulang membawa prestasi. Malang Juara!" tegasnya.
