JATIMTIMES - Kota Malang masih berada dalam bayang-bayang penularan HIV. Hingga Mei 2026, Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes) Kota Malang mencatat 97 kasus baru orang dengan HIV (ODHIV). Angka tersebut menjadi pengingat bahwa rantai penularan masih terus berlangsung dan memerlukan upaya penemuan kasus secara lebih masif.

Temuan itu menyusul catatan sepanjang 2025 yang menunjukkan sebanyak 300 kasus baru ODHIV di Kota Malang. Dari kasus yang ditemukan tahun ini, mayoritas masih didominasi laki-laki, yakni 78 persen, sedangkan perempuan mencapai 22 persen.

Kepala Dinkes Kota Malang Husnul Muarif mengatakan, fokus utama pemerintah bukan semata melihat tinggi atau rendahnya jumlah kasus, melainkan memastikan sumber penularan dapat ditemukan sehingga penyebaran virus tidak semakin meluas.

"Yang kita lihat bukan banyak atau sedikitnya kasus. Kalau ada kasus, berarti ada sumber penularan. Nah, sumber ini yang harus kita cari sehingga rantai penularannya bisa diputus," ujar Husnul, Senin (6/7/2026). 

Menurut Husnul, strategi utama yang dijalankan Dinkes adalah memperluas deteksi dini pada kelompok populasi kunci. Di Kota Malang, kelompok lelaki seks lelaki (LSL) masih menjadi kelompok dengan temuan kasus terbanyak.

Data Dinkes menunjukkan sekitar 35 persen dari 97 kasus baru yang ditemukan hingga Mei 2026 berasal dari kelompok LSL. Selain itu, populasi kunci yang menjadi sasaran skrining meliputi ibu hamil, wanita pekerja seks, pengguna narkotika suntik yang berbagi jarum, serta waria.

"Di Kota Malang memang sebagian besar populasi kunci yang ditemukan adalah LSL. Karena itu kita terus melakukan penemuan kasus baru sebanyak-banyaknya agar bisa segera diberikan pengobatan," katanya. Sedangkan pada tahun 2025 lalu, total ada sebanyak 300 temuan kasus baru ODHIV di Kota Malang. 

Untuk mendukung upaya tersebut, Dinkes telah menyiapkan 16 fasilitas layanan kesehatan yang tersebar di puskesmas maupun rumah sakit. Fasilitas itu melayani pemeriksaan HIV sekaligus pengobatan dan pendampingan bagi pasien yang telah terdiagnosis.

Husnul menjelaskan, berbeda dengan tuberkulosis (TBC) yang pengobatannya dapat diselesaikan dalam waktu sekitar enam bulan, terapi HIV harus dijalani seumur hidup. Karena itu, deteksi sedini mungkin menjadi langkah penting agar pasien segera memperoleh terapi antiretroviral sekaligus menekan risiko penularan kepada orang lain.

"Kalau sudah terdeteksi, kita bisa memberikan layanan pengobatan dan perawatan. HIV memang harus diobati seumur hidup. Tujuannya agar risiko penularannya bisa diminimalkan," jelasnya.

Meski jumlah penemuan kasus HIV di Kota Malang masih berada di bawah Kota Surabaya, Husnul menegaskan kondisi tersebut tidak boleh membuat masyarakat lengah. Selama masih ditemukan kasus baru, upaya skrining, edukasi, dan pemutusan rantai penularan harus terus diperkuat.
