JATIMTIMES - PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Malang memperingati Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia 2026 dengan cara berbeda. Seluruh pegawai diajak mengikuti jalan sehat sekaligus menjalankan program Clean Energy Day melalui penerapan Hari Tanpa Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM), Jumat (5/6/2026).
Melalui kegiatan ini, insan PLN didorong untuk tidak menggunakan kendaraan berbahan bakar fosil saat beraktivitas. Sebagai gantinya, pegawai diarahkan memanfaatkan moda transportasi yang lebih ramah lingkungan, seperti transportasi umum, kendaraan listrik, sepeda, maupun berjalan kaki menuju tempat kerja.

Program tersebut menjadi bagian dari upaya PLN dalam mendukung pengurangan emisi karbon sekaligus mengampanyekan pola hidup sehat dan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, kegiatan jalan sehat yang digelar bersama juga dimanfaatkan untuk mempererat kebersamaan antarpegawai di lingkungan kerja.

Kebijakan Hari Tanpa BBM yang diterapkan PLN ini merupakan inisiatif dari PLN Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Jawa Timur. Tak hanya berorientasi pada pengurangan polusi udara, program tersebut juga menjadi bagian dari komitmen perusahaan dalam mendukung transisi menuju energi yang lebih bersih.
Di lingkungan PLN UP3 Malang, kegiatan jalan sehat rutin dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana membangun kekompakan dan meningkatkan semangat kerja pegawai dalam menjaga keandalan pasokan listrik bagi masyarakat di wilayah Malang Raya.
Manager PLN UP3 Malang , Agung Wibowo, menjelaskan perubahan menuju lingkungan yang lebih baik perlu dimulai dari langkah sederhana yang dilakukan secara konsisten.
"Melalui gerakan Clean Energy Day ini, kami ingin menumbuhkan kesadaran bahwa perubahan menuju energi yang lebih bersih dapat dimulai dari langkah sederhana dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan mengurangi penggunaan kendaraan berbahan bakar BBM setiap hari Jumat, kami berharap dapat turut berkontribusi menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih sehat dan berkelanjutan," ujar Agung.

Menurutnya, kebiasaan kecil yang diterapkan secara berkelanjutan dapat memberikan dampak nyata bagi lingkungan. Karena itu, PLN terus berupaya menanamkan budaya kerja yang lebih peduli terhadap isu keberlanjutan dan pelestarian lingkungan.
PLN UP3 Malang optimistis penerapan Clean Energy Day secara konsisten dapat membantu menekan emisi dari sektor transportasi sekaligus mendukung peningkatan kualitas udara, khususnya di kawasan perkotaan.
Melalui momentum Hari Lingkungan Hidup Sedunia, PLN juga berharap gerakan tersebut dapat menginspirasi lebih banyak pihak, baik instansi pemerintah, perusahaan, maupun masyarakat umum, untuk ikut mengambil peran dalam menjaga lingkungan.
Dengan langkah sederhana seperti mengurangi penggunaan kendaraan berbahan bakar minyak, menggunakan transportasi ramah lingkungan, hingga membiasakan aktivitas fisik seperti berjalan kaki, diharapkan tercipta budaya hidup yang lebih sehat sekaligus mendukung terwujudnya Indonesia yang lebih hijau dan berkelanjutan di masa mendatang.
