JATIMTIMES - Proses evakuasi terhadap seorang pendaki ilegal berusia 18 tahun bernama Cakra hingga saat masih terus berlangsung, Jumat (5/6/2026). Proses evakuasi yang berlangsung selama berhari-hari tersebut berjalan dramatis lantaran korban mengalami cedera cukup serius di bagian kakinya.
Cedera yang menimpa pendaki ilegal tersebut terjadi usai korban dan rombongannya nekat melakukan pendakian pada jalur tidak resmi ke Gunung Semeru. Hingga akhirnya Cakra terperosok ke jurang dengan kedalaman mencapai ratusan meter sebelum akhirnya mengalami cedera engkel.

Sementara itu, proses evakuasi yang dilakukan tim Search and Rescue (SAR) gabungan telah diawali dengan menarik korban dari dalam jurang. "(Korban, red) terperosok di jurang dengan kedalaman kurang lebih 375 meter saat mendaki Gunung Semeru. Saat ini proses evakuasi masih berlangsung," ujar Kepala Kantor SAR Surabaya Nanang Sigit.
Terperosok ke jurang sedalam ratusan meter itulah yang mengakibatkan korban mengalami cedera serius di bagian kakinya. "Survivor mengalami dislokasi engkel kaki kanan," ujar Nanang yang juga selaku SAR mission coordinator (SMC) pada operasi SAR tersebut.
Sebagaimana diberitakan sebelumnya, kronologi petaka yang dialami rombongan pendaki ilegal tersebut bermula pada Sabtu (30/5/2026). Pada hari itu, tiga orang pendaki, termasuk Cakra, yang diketahui berasal dari Semarang, Pasuruan, dan Malang melakukan aktivitas pendakian menuju kawasan Gunung Semeru melalui jalur Candi Jawar Purbakala.
Jalur yang digunakan tersebut bukan merupakan jalur resmi pendakian wisata yang dikelola Balai Besar Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru (BB TNBTS). Sehingga jalur tersebut bukan merupakan pintu masuk maupun jalur resmi yang digunakan untuk aktivitas pendakian Gunung Semeru.
Di sisi lain, hingga saat ini pendakian menuju puncak Gunung Semeru juga masih ditutup. Yakni sehubungan dengan aktivitas vulkanologi Gunung Semeru dan pertimbangan keselamatan pengunjung.
Artinya, aktivitas yang dilakukan ketiga orang tersebut merupakan pendakian ilegal. Bahkan tidak tercatat dalam sistem pelayanan pendakian BB TNBTS.
Hingga akhirnya, pada Senin (1/6/2026) sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB, salah satu pendaki dilaporkan menghubungi orang tuanya. Ia kemudian menyampaikan jika dirinya terjatuh di lereng Gunung Semeru serta membutuhkan pertolongan.
Keluarga korban kemudian menindaklanjuti informasi tersebut dengan turut berkoordinasi kepada sejumlah pihak terkait untuk melakukan pencarian terhadap korban. Pada Senin (1/6/2026) malam sekitar pukul 22.00 WIB, ayah korban bersama enam orang warga sekitar melakukan upaya pencarian menuju ke lokasi yang diduga merupakan keberadaan korban.

Perlu diketahui, untuk mencapai lokasi korban tersebut diperlukan waktu tempuh sekitar delapan jam dengan berjalan kaki melalui medan yang terjal, curam, hingga minim akses. Hasilnya, pada Selasa (2/6/2026) sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB, korban dilaporkan telah ditemukan.
Meski demikian, proses evakuasi sempat mengalami kendala karena kondisi medan yang cukup berat. Sehingga tim yang dikerahkan pada saat itu membutuhkan dukungan personel tambahan.
Hingga hari ini, Jumat (5/6/2026), Tim SAR gabungan masih berupaya untuk melakukan evakuasi terhadap Cakra. Sementara dua pendaki ilegal lainnya telah dievakuasi pada Jumat (5/6/2026) dini hari.
Dalam evakuasi tersebut juga sempat disiagakan enam orang yang ada di jurang. Sementara tim SAR gabungan yang disiagakan di atas tebing di sekitar jurang mencapai puluhan orang.
Awalnya, proses evakuasi rencananya bakal menggunakan metode hauling system. Namun pada akhirnya proses evakuasi terhadap korban yang berlangsung pada hari ini menggunakan metode slope rescue. Yakni teknik SAR khusus yang digunakan untuk lokasi jurang.
