Namun ternyata, ada teknik sederhana yang biasa digunakan makeup artist profesional agar warna blush tetap segar dan tahan lama di wajah.
Makeup artist profesional Pao Hilda Afiani membagikan salah satu trik yang kerap dipakai para MUA, yakni teknik double blush. Teknik ini mengombinasikan blush on berbentuk krim atau liquid dengan blush powder agar warna lebih awet dan menyatu dengan complexion.

“Ini sebenarnya rahasia umum makeup artist. Jadi, blush on krim dipakai dulu. Lalu setelah selesai, baru ditimpa blush powder supaya warnanya lebih tahan lama,” kata Pao.
Menurut dia, blush on jenis krim bekerja sebagai dasar warna karena lebih mudah menempel pada kulit yang masih lembap setelah penggunaan complexion. Setelah itu, blush powder berfungsi mengunci warna agar tidak mudah hilang sepanjang hari.
Pao menambahkan, teknik tersebut cukup mudah diterapkan, bahkan untuk pemula. Setelah foundation atau complexion selesai digunakan, blush krim cukup diaplikasikan tipis menggunakan kuas atau spons, lalu diratakan perlahan di area pipi.
“Tap-tap dulu di tangan supaya produk tidak terlalu banyak. Habis itu tinggal ditepuk pelan ke wajah. Jangan takut tebal karena nanti masih ditumpuk blush powder,” imbuh Pao.

Pao menyarankan blush on dengan shade merah muda kemerahan untuk memberikan efek wajah yang lebih hidup. Ia menyebut produk dengan tekstur ringan dan mudah dibaurkan biasanya menjadi pilihan utama para MUA profesional.

“Kalau teksturnya gampang di-blend, hasilnya lebih natural dan enggak patchy. Itu yang biasanya dicari makeup artist,” jelasnya.
Menurut Pao, teknik ini juga bisa dipadukan dengan highlighter agar makeup terlihat lebih glowing tanpa harus memakai banyak produk tambahan. Bahkan setelah digunakan selama enam jam, warna blush masih terlihat jelas dan menyatu di wajah.
“Kadang orang sudah makeup bagus-bagus, tapi siang blush on-nya hilang duluan. Nah teknik ini bisa bantu bikin warnanya tetap muncul lebih lama,” tutup Pao.
