Limbah Medis Dibuang di Irigasi Malang, Polisi Telusuri Jalur Distribusi Alkes

JATIMTIMES - Kasus temuan limbah medis di saluran irigasi wilayah Kelurahan Bumiayu, Kecamatan Kedungkandang, Kota Malang mulai menunjukkan perkembangan baru. Polisi kini menelusuri rantai distribusi alat kesehatan dan aktivitas pengelolaan limbah medis dengan memeriksa sejumlah distributor alkes hingga rumah sakit.

Penyelidikan dilakukan tim gabungan yang dibentuk Polresta Malang Kota bersama Pemkot Malang menyusul keresahan warga atas temuan limbah berbahaya di aliran irigasi beberapa waktu lalu.

Kapolresta Malang Kota Kombes Pol Putu Kholis Aryana, mengatakan penanganan kasus tersebut dilakukan secara serius karena berkaitan langsung dengan keselamatan lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat.

“Kami bersama Pemerintah Kota membentuk tim untuk menelusuri sumber limbah medis ini. Jadi prosesnya berjalan bersama agar penanganannya lebih komprehensif,” kata Putu Kholis.

Hingga saat ini penyidik masih mendalami berbagai kemungkinan terkait asal-usul limbah yang ditemukan di kawasan Bumiayu. Polisi juga tak ingin terburu-buru menyimpulkan pihak yang bertanggung jawab sebelum seluruh bukti dan keterangan terkumpul lengkap.

Sementara itu, Kasatreskrim Polresta Malang Kota Kompol Rahmad Aji Prabowo menambahkan, penyelidikan mulai mengarah pada titik tertentu setelah sejumlah pihak dimintai keterangan.

“Kami sudah memeriksa beberapa distributor alat kesehatan dan rumah sakit. Saat ini masih tahap pendalaman untuk melihat keterkaitan dari hasil pemeriksaan tersebut,” ucap Aji.

Ia mengakui terdapat perkembangan dalam proses penyelidikan, namun penyidik memilih berhati-hati agar tidak terjadi kekeliruan dalam pengambilan langkah hukum.

“Perkembangannya ada, tetapi kami harus memastikan semuanya benar-benar valid. Jangan sampai salah mengambil keputusan,” tegasnya.

Selain pemeriksaan saksi, polisi juga berkoordinasi dengan Dinas Kesehatan Kota Malang untuk menelusuri sistem distribusi alat kesehatan dan prosedur pembuangan limbah medis dari fasilitas layanan kesehatan.

Hingga kini, pihaknya belum memastikan apakah kasus tersebut akan berujung pada proses pidana. Penyidik masih mengumpulkan berbagai bahan keterangan serta bukti lapangan sebelum menentukan unsur pelanggaran hukum.

“Nanti akan kami lihat dari seluruh hasil pendalaman dan fakta yang ditemukan di lapangan,” imbuh Aji.

Polisi juga mengimbau bahwa limbah medis termasuk kategori berbahaya dan tidak boleh dibuang sembarangan karena berpotensi mencemari lingkungan maupun menimbulkan risiko kesehatan bagi masyarakat sekitar.

“Kalau membuang sampah biasa di sungai saja sudah salah, apalagi limbah medis yang berbahaya. Ini harus jadi perhatian bersama,” tutup Aji.
