JATIMTIMES - Video penampakan satwa diduga macan di kawasan hutan Cangar, Kota Batu, viral di media sosial setelah diunggah akun TikTok @WongMojokerto. UPT Tahura Raden Soerjo menegaskan hingga kini belum ada kepastian terkait lokasi maupun waktu pengambilan video karena diduga merupakan rekaman lama yang kembali beredar.

Video yang beredar menampilkan sosok hewan yang melintas di area hutan di kawasan Cangar. Seorang pria yang merekam video itu mengatakan, “Lho, itu katanya hutan Cangar tidak ada macannya. Ini macan atau kucing?”.

Ucapan itu pun ramai diperbincangkan warganet dan membuat kekhawatiran sekaligus rasa penasaran terkait keberadaan satwa liar di kawasan wisata tersebut. 

Menanggapi video yang telanjur viral, UPT Tahura Raden Soerjo memastikan hingga kini belum ada kepastian mengenai lokasi maupun waktu pengambilan video tersebut.

Pihak Tahura menduga rekaman itu merupakan video lama yang kembali beredar di media sosial. Kepala Seksi Perlindungan dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat UPT Tahura Raden Soerjo, Ajat Sudrajat, mengatakan pihaknya masih melakukan penelusuran terkait video tersebut.

“Video yang beredar diduga video lama dan sampai sekarang belum bisa dipastikan lokasi pengambilannya,” kata Ajat, Sabtu (23/5/2026).

Petugas Tahura selama ini rutin melakukan pemantauan satwa liar di kawasan konservasi, termasuk kemungkinan adanya macan. Namun, sejauh ini belum ditemukan jejak ataupun pantauan langsung keberadaan satwa tersebut di area Cangar.

“Pemantauan terus dilakukan, tetapi sampai saat ini belum ada tanda-tanda keberadaan macan yang terpantau,” imbuh Ajat.

Meski demikian, Tahura Raden Soerjo memastikan akan tetap menjalankan langkah perlindungan jika nantinya ditemukan keberadaan satwa dilindungi di kawasan hutan tersebut. Perlindungan itu mencakup pengamanan habitat hingga pencegahan perburuan liar yang dapat mengancam keberlangsungan satwa.

“Kalau memang ada satwa dilindungi di kawasan itu, tentu akan kami lindungi dari berbagai gangguan, termasuk perburuan maupun kerusakan habitat,” terang Ajat.

Pihaknya juga mengimbau masyarakat tidak mudah percaya dengan adanya informasi yang belum terverifikasi dan tetap menjaga keamanan saat beraktivitas di kawasan hutan maupun wisata alam sekitar Cangar.
