JATIMTIMES - Wali Kota Malang Wahyu Hidayat mengaku sudah mengetahui sejak awal proses seleksi mantan Kepala Bapenda Kota Malang, Handi Priyanto, hingga akhirnya resmi menjabat Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kota Semarang.

Menurut Wahyu, sejak awal dirinya memang memberikan izin dan dukungan kepada pejabat di lingkungan Pemkot Malang yang ingin mengembangkan karier melalui promosi jabatan di daerah lain.

“Saya pasti tahu dari proses awal. Jadi kalau ada kesempatan untuk promosi, saya persilakan. Prosesnya juga tidak lama. Mulai awal kan harus persetujuan saya,” ujar Wahyu.

Ia juga mengungkapkan, sebelum pelantikan dilakukan, Wali Kota Semarang sempat menghubunginya secara langsung untuk meminta izin terkait pelantikan Handi sebagai Sekda Kota Semarang.

“Wali Kota Semarang juga telepon saya, bahwa mereka butuh izin saya. Kalau saya sudah memperbolehkan, ya dilakukan,” katanya.

Wahyu menegaskan, dirinya mendukung penuh promosi pejabat ASN karena dinilai menjadi kesempatan untuk menunjukkan kapasitas dan kemampuan birokrasi asal Kota Malang di daerah lain.

“Memang saya memberi kesempatan kepada mereka untuk bisa mempromosikan kemampuannya. Dan alhamdulillah masuk, kita juga bangga ada mereka yang mendapatkan promosi yang baik,” imbuhnya.

Terkait posisi Kepala Bapenda Kota Malang yang kini kosong, Wahyu memastikan jabatan tersebut sementara akan diisi pelaksana tugas (Plt) sambil menunggu proses manajemen talenta berjalan.

“Iya, sementara kita isi Plt nanti, sambil proses manajemen talenta. Bisa diisi sekretaris, bisa eselon dua yang lain, nanti kita lihat,” jelasnya.

Wahyu juga memastikan pengisian Plt dilakukan secepatnya agar tidak ada kekosongan jabatan di lingkungan Pemkot Malang.

“Insyaallah hari ini. Pejabat enggak boleh ada yang kosong,” tegasnya.

Sebagai informasi, sebelum menjadi Sekda Kota Semarang, Handi Priyanto pernah menjabat sebagai kepala di beberapa organisasi perangkat daerah (OPD) Kota Malang.
