JATIMTIMES - Musim kemarau 2026 mulai menjadi perhatian serius di Jawa Timur. Sejumlah daerah bahkan telah menetapkan status siaga kekeringan karena cuaca tahun ini diprediksi lebih kering dibanding 2025.
Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Jawa Timur mencatat ada lima kabupaten yang resmi menetapkan status siaga kekeringan untuk beberapa bulan ke depan. Kelima daerah tersebut yakni Bangkalan, Banyuwangi, Bondowoso, Lamongan, dan Lumajang.

Kepala Pelaksana BPBD Jatim, Gatot Soebroto, membenarkan bahwa lima kabupaten tersebut telah menerbitkan Surat Keputusan (SK) Kedaruratan Kekeringan.
BPBD Jatim saat ini juga mulai melakukan pemetaan wilayah terdampak dan menyalurkan bantuan air bersih ke sejumlah titik yang mengalami kekeringan ekstrem.
"Sejauh ini kami telah mendistribusikan air bersih ke Kabupaten Bondowoso tepatnya di Kecamatan Botolinggo, Desa Kleken. Kami mengirimkan 10.000 liter air bersih, dan di sana ada sekitar 140 KK terdampak," kata Gatot dikutip detikJatim, Sabtu (16/5/2026).
BPBD Jatim memperkirakan musim kemarau tahun ini bakal lebih ekstrem dibanding tahun lalu. Dampaknya, ratusan desa di berbagai wilayah Jawa Timur berpotensi mengalami krisis air bersih.
Gatot menyebut, ada sekitar 916 desa di 29 kabupaten yang diprediksi terancam kekeringan selama musim kemarau 2026.
"Kami terus mengimbau warga untuk aktif melaporkan titik kekeringan ke BPBD setempat. Kami akan tindaklanjuti untuk menyalurkan air bersih, karena diprediksi musim kemarau 2026 ini lebih kering dibanding tahun lalu," jelasnya.
Sebagai perbandingan, pada 2025 lalu tercatat ada 129 desa di 12 kabupaten yang terdampak kekeringan. Selain itu, kebakaran lahan juga mencapai 44,3 hektare dan menyebabkan tiga kawasan hutan terbakar.
Selain menyiapkan distribusi air bersih, BPBD Jawa Timur juga memperkuat kesiapsiagaan masyarakat melalui pembentukan Desa Tangguh Bencana (Destana) di 38 kabupaten/kota.

Program ini dimulai dari kawasan Mataraman, meliputi Tulungagung, Magetan, Trenggalek, Kabupaten Madiun, hingga Kota Madiun.
Di Desa Panjerejo, pembentukan Destana dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan warga menghadapi bencana kekeringan maupun kebakaran lahan.
Sementara di Magetan, kegiatan serupa dipusatkan di Desa Jabung. "Sebagaimana arahan Ibu Gubernur, bahwa kesiapsiagaan adalah prioritas utama di setiap lapisan masyarakat. Destana ini merupakan salah satu bentuk langkah konkret dari pemerintah kepada masyarakat, untuk membangun masyarakat yang siap siaga, tanggap dan tangguh terhadap setiap ancaman bencana," terang Gatot.
Program Destana juga menyasar Desa Timahan, Desa Nglanduk, hingga Kelurahan Patihan.
Tak hanya fokus pada kesiapsiagaan bencana, BPBD Jatim juga membagikan 100 bibit pohon produktif di setiap lokasi pembentukan Destana.
Bibit yang dibagikan meliputi durian, alpukat, kelengkeng, hingga jambu air. Bantuan tersebut diharapkan menjadi langkah mitigasi vegetatif sekaligus memberi manfaat ekonomi bagi masyarakat sekitar.
