JATIMTIMES - Kesenjangan gender di Kota Batu terus menunjukkan perbaikan sepanjang 2025. Hal itu terlihat dari penurunan Indeks Ketimpangan Gender (IKG) Kota Batu menjadi 0,163 atau turun 0,025 poin dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya yang berada di angka 0,188.

Penurunan IKG tersebut menjadi sinyal positif meningkatnya kesetaraan gender di berbagai sektor, mulai dari kesehatan reproduksi, pemberdayaan, hingga pasar tenaga kerja. Capaian ini juga melanjutkan tren perbaikan yang terjadi setelah sempat mengalami kenaikan pada 2023.

Kepala BPS Kota Batu, Herlina Prasetyowati Sambodo, mengatakan penurunan IKG tahun ini dipengaruhi oleh membaiknya hampir seluruh indikator pembentuk indeks. Menurutnya, dimensi pasar tenaga kerja menjadi faktor yang paling dominan mendorong perbaikan tersebut.

“Perbaikan di hampir semua dimensi menjadi faktor utama menurunnya Indeks Ketimpangan Gender di Kota Batu,” kata Herlina.

Ia menjelaskan, tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja perempuan mengalami kenaikan cukup signifikan selama 2025. Angkanya meningkat dari 59,65 persen pada 2024 menjadi 72,57 persen pada tahun ini.

Sementara itu, tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja laki-laki juga mengalami peningkatan meski tidak terlalu besar. Dari sebelumnya 87,33 persen pada 2024, kini naik menjadi 88,45 persen pada 2025.

Herlina menambahkan, perbaikan juga terjadi pada dimensi kesehatan reproduksi yang menunjukkan semakin minimnya risiko kesehatan bagi perempuan di Kota Batu. Selain itu, dimensi pemberdayaan turut mengalami perkembangan positif dalam beberapa tahun terakhir.

“Indeks Ketimpangan Gender di Kota Batu menunjukkan peningkatan yang konsisten pada ketiga dimensi pembentuknya,” imbuh Herlina.

Berdasarkan data BPS, tren penurunan IKG di Kota Batu mulai terlihat sejak 2024 setelah pada 2023 sempat meningkat menjadi 0,378. Sebelumnya, IKG Kota Batu pada 2022 berada di angka 0,310 sebelum akhirnya kembali membaik dalam dua tahun terakhir.

Kondisi tersebut dinilai menjadi indikator bahwa akses dan peluang antara laki-laki serta perempuan di Kota Batu semakin setara. Pemkot Batu pun diharapkan terus memperkuat kebijakan yang mendukung partisipasi perempuan di berbagai sektor pembangunan.
