Rachel mengingatkan bahwa cara umum mengaplikasikan concealer langsung ke area bawah mata justru bisa membuat tampilan makeup terlihat berat dan mudah creasing, terutama pada kulit yang sudah mulai menunjukkan tanda penuaan.
“Stop! Jangan pakai concealer kayak gini lagi, terutama buat yang umurnya sudah 30 dan punya banyak kerutan di bawah mata,” kata Rachel.
Daripada mengaplikasikan produk secara langsung ke kulit, Rachel menyarankan teknik yang lebih halus dan terkontrol. Ia menjelaskan bahwa concealer sebaiknya diletakkan terlebih dahulu di punggung tangan.
Kemudan ambil kuas makeup dan disemprot dengan setting spray agar teksturnya lebih lembap, namun tidak terlalu basah. Lalu kuas ditepuk-tepukkan atau tap ke concealer untuk mengambil produk secukupnya.
Teknik ini dinilai mampu menghindari penumpukan produk yang berlebihan di area sensitif seperti bawah mata. “Taruh concealer-nya di punggung tangan, terus kuasnya disemprot dulu, tap-tap biar nggak terlalu basah, baru ambil produknya,” jelas Rachel.
Yang tak kalah penting, posisi pengaplikasian juga perlu diperhatikan. Rachel menekankan agar concealer tidak langsung ditempatkan tepat di bawah mata, melainkan sedikit lebih ke bawah area tersebut. Teknik ini membantu menciptakan efek lifting dan tampilan yang lebih segar.
“Taruhnya jangan dekat-dekat bawah mata, tapi di sini. Nanti baru di-blend pelan-pelan, tap-tap-tap,” tambah Rachel.
Proses blending menjadi kunci utama dalam teknik ini. Dengan gerakan tap ringan menggunakan kuas, concealer akan menyatu lebih baik dengan foundation yang sudah diaplikasikan sebelumnya. Hasilnya, area bawah mata terlihat lebih cerah tanpa menonjolkan garis halus.

Rachel juga menunjukkan hasil akhir setelah riasan disempurnakan dengan bedak, blush on, dan contour. Perbedaannya terlihat signifikan tampilan menjadi lebih natural, halus, dan tidak cakey dibandingkan metode lama yang langsung mengoleskan concealer ke kulit.
“Lebih cerah dan jauh lebih natural dibanding langsung aplikasiin concealer ke bawah mata,” kata ibu satu anak ini.
Tips ini pun mendapat respons positif dari warganet, terutama mereka yang mulai mengalami masalah fine lines di area mata. Teknik sederhana namun efektif ini dinilai bisa menjadi solusi praktis untuk mendapatkan hasil makeup yang lebih flawless tanpa harus menggunakan banyak produk.
Tsara De mengaku mengalami hal serupa saat memasuki usia 30-an. Ia menyebut perubahan kondisi kulit membuat teknik makeup harus ikut disesuaikan.
“Awalnya denial karena ngerasanya masih 25, eh bener aja ternyata dah 31 dan concealer bawah mata creasing mulu karena mulai ada kerutan,” ungkap Tsara.
Menurut dia, masalah creasing pada concealer bukan sekadar kesalahan produk, tapi juga teknik aplikasi yang kurang tepat serta perubahan tekstur kulit seiring bertambahnya usia.
