Tahap ini jadi pintu awal sebelum peserta menentukan jalur seleksi yang akan diambil. Ada lima jalur yang disediakan, masing-masing dengan jadwal dan ketentuan berbeda.
Karena itu, calon peserta diminta mencermati seluruh tahapan, mulai dari prapendaftaran hingga pengumuman akhir.
Berdasarkan data Puspresnas, berikut tujuh SMA di Jawa Timur yang masuk 100 besar nasional:Peringkat 12 – MAN 2 Kota Malang (Skor: 550)Peringkat 45 – SMAN 5 Surabaya (Skor: 311)Peringkat 47 – SMAN 2 Probolinggo (Skor: 304)Peringkat 67 – SMAN 1 Jember (Skor: 249)Peringkat 89 – SMAS Kristen Petra 2 Surabaya (Skor: 221)Peringkat 94 – SMAN 2 Madiun (Skor: 214)Peringkat 99 – SMA Thursina IIBS (Skor: 210)
Untuk diketahui, Puspresnas menyusun daftar ini berdasarkan capaian prestasi siswa di berbagai ajang resmi, baik tingkat nasional maupun internasional.
Beberapa kompetisi yang masuk penilaian di antaranya Olimpiade Sains Nasional (OSN), Festival Lomba Seni Siswa Nasional (FLS2N), Olimpiade Olahraga Siswa Nasional (O2SN), hingga Kompetisi Penelitian Siswa Indonesia (KoPSI).

Seluruh data tersebut dihimpun melalui Sistem Informasi Manajemen Talenta (SIMT), lalu dikurasi secara berlapis. Mulai dari data internal Puspresnas, database talenta nasional, hingga data tambahan dari lembaga luar yang sudah diverifikasi.
Dengan dimulainya SPMB Jatim 2026, daftar ini bisa jadi gambaran awal bagi calon siswa sebelum menentukan pilihan sekolah. Selain jarak dan fasilitas, rekam jejak prestasi kini jadi salah satu pertimbangan. Semoga informasi ini bermanfaat ya.
