JATIMTIMES - Langkah Timnas Indonesia U-17 menuju semifinal Piala AFF U-17 2026 kini berada di ujung tanduk. Kekalahan tipis dari Malaysia U-17 membuat peluang Garuda Muda semakin berat, bahkan nyaris bergantung pada hasil tim lain.

Bermain di Stadion Gelora Joko Samudro, Gresik, Kamis (16/4/2026) malam WIB, Indonesia harus mengakui keunggulan Malaysia dengan skor 0-1. Gol semata wayang dicetak oleh Fareez Danial pada menit ke-33.

Hasil ini menjadi pukulan telak bagi skuad asuhan Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto yang sebelumnya membuka peluang cukup besar untuk lolos dari fase grup.

Kekalahan tersebut membuat posisi Indonesia melorot ke peringkat ketiga klasemen sementara Grup A. Sementara itu, Vietnam U-17 tampil superior dengan kemenangan telak atas Timor Leste U-17.

Vietnam kini kokoh di puncak klasemen dengan enam poin dari dua pertandingan. Tak hanya itu, mereka juga mencatatkan produktivitas luar biasa dengan 14 gol tanpa kebobolan.

Malaysia naik ke posisi kedua dengan tiga poin, unggul head-to-head atas Indonesia yang juga mengoleksi poin serupa.

Dengan hanya tiga juara grup dan satu runner-up terbaik yang berhak melaju ke semifinal, situasi ini membuat peluang Indonesia semakin sempit.

Harapan Indonesia belum sepenuhnya tertutup. Namun, satu syarat mutlak yang harus dipenuhi adalah menang atas Vietnam di laga terakhir pada Minggu (19/4/2026).

Kemenangan menjadi harga mati. Hasil imbang apalagi kalah dipastikan menutup peluang Garuda Muda untuk melangkah lebih jauh.

Di sisi lain, Malaysia berpotensi menambah poin saat menghadapi Timor Leste yang sudah tersingkir. Jika itu terjadi, tekanan untuk Indonesia akan semakin besar.

Di sisi lain dari Grup B, Laos U-17 dan Myanmar U-17 sama-sama mengoleksi empat poin. Thailand U-17 masih punya peluang, namun wajib menang di laga terakhir sambil berharap hasil lain menguntungkan.

Sementara itu di Grup C, Australia U-17 tampil dominan dengan dua kemenangan beruntun tanpa kebobolan. Kamboja U-17 masih membayangi di posisi kedua.
