JATIMTIMES - Kebakaran sempat menggegerkan warga di Jalan WR Soepratman, Kelurahan Sisir, Kecamatan Batu, Kota Batu, Minggu (12/4/2026). Peristiwa diketahui berasal dari sebuah toko petshop diduga korsleting pada neon box dan memicu kepanikan di sekitar lokasi.

Laporan pertama kali diterima petugas dari pemilik toko, Sulistyowati, yang melihat munculnya api dari bagian atas bangunan. Tak berselang lama, tim Regu Jaya dari Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan Kota Batu langsung bergerak menuju lokasi kejadian.

Setibanya di tempat kejadian perkara (TKP), petugas segera melakukan investigasi sekaligus pemadaman untuk mencegah api meluas ke bangunan lain. Proses penanganan berlangsung cepat, hingga akhirnya situasi berhasil dikendalikan kurang dari satu jam.

Komandan Regu Jaya, Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan Kota Batu, M. Charis, menjelaskan bahwa dugaan sementara penyebab kebakaran berasal dari korsleting listrik.

“Diduga kebakaran terjadi karena korsleting listrik pada neon box yang kemudian memicu api dan menjalar ke tumpukan kardus di lantai dua,” katanya.

Ia menjelaskan, dalam proses pemadaman pihaknya mengerahkan dua unit armada, yakni Unit Gajah 3 sebagai unit utama pemadam dan Unit Suplay untuk mendukung pasokan air.

“Pemadaman dilakukan secara langsung dengan dukungan suplai air dari armada, sehingga api bisa cepat dikendalikan dan tidak sempat merembet ke bangunan lain,” jelasnya.

Selain petugas pemadam, penanganan juga melibatkan unsur kepolisian, relawan, serta warga sekitar yang turut membantu proses evakuasi.

Beruntung, tidak ada korban jiwa dalam peristiwa tersebut. Seluruh hewan yang berada di lokasi juga dilaporkan berhasil diselamatkan. Namun, kerugian materi ditaksir mencapai sekitar Rp 7 juta.
