JATIMTIMES - Wakil Bupati Malang Lathifah Shohib berkomitmen mendukung program-program kesehatan mental dan pemberdayaan remaja perempuan di Malang Raya, khususnya di wilayah Kabupaten Malang melalui program kerja dari masing-masing perangkat daerah terkait. 

Komitmen itu disampaikan Lathifah saat menutup kegiatan Program Penguatan Kepemimpinan Remaja Perempuan dan Advokasi untuk Penguatan Kesehatan Mental dalam Konteks Pendidikan yang berlangsung di Malang Creative Center (MCC) Kota Malang.

"Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Malang berkomitmen untuk terus mendorong program-program yang mendukung kesehatan mental dan pemberdayaan remaja, khususnya remaja perempuan, agar mereka dapat menjadi agen perubahan di lingkungannya," ungkap Lathifah, Sabtu (4/4/2026). 

Dalam kegiatan tersebut hadir Duta Besar Irlandia untuk Indonesia Sharon Lennon, Direktur Pelaksana Ruang Mitra Perempuan (RUMPUN), para camat dan kepala desa lokasi program, kepala sekolah mitra program, Ketua dan Tim Indonesia Sehat Jiwa, serta pengurus dan anggota Serumpun.

"Saya mengapresiasi setinggi-tingginya dukungan dari Kedutaan Irlandia untuk Indonesia serta seluruh pihak yang telah berkolaborasi. Ini adalah bukti bahwa ketika kita bekerja bersama, kita mampu menciptakan perubahan yang nyata," tutur Lathifah. 

Lebih lanjut, dalam kegiatan tersebut para peserta juga belajar mengenai kepemimpinan bukan hanya tentang berbicara di depan, tetapi juga tentang mendengar, memahami dan hadir untuk sesama. Menurutnya, dalam konteks kesehatan mental, empati menjadi kekuatan utama.

"Kemampuan untuk menjadi 'kawan sebaya' yang peduli merupakan bekal penting di tengah tantangan zaman yang semakin kompleks," kata Lathifah. 

Sementara itu, pihaknya mengucapkan terima kasih  dan apresiasi yang setinggi-tingginya kepada Ruang Mitra Perempuan (RUMPUN) sebagai lembaga swadaya masyarakat yang berfokus pada pemberdayaan perempuan dan remaja perempuan di Kabupaten Malang, serta Kedutaan Irlandia untuk Indonesia yang telah memberikan dukungan penuh.
