JATIMTIMES - Warganet dikejutkan dengan temuan sejumlah produk kosmetik yang mengandung Bahan Kimia Obat (BKO) dan bahan dilarang yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan yang tengah viral di media sosial. Bagaimana tidak, sebab beberapa produk itu tidak asing lagi di telinga khususnya bagi kaum hawa.

Temuan tersebut dari hasil sampling dan pengujian selama Oktober 2021 hingga Agustus 2022 oleh Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) Republik Indonesia. BPOM mendapati 16 produk kosmetik yang mengandung BKO dan bahan dilarang.

Deputi Bidang Pengawasan Obat Tradisional, Suplemen Kesehatan, dan Kosmetik BPOM RI, Reri Indriani mengatakan, kebanyakan dari kosmetik tersebut mengandung bahan pewarna yang dilarang, seperti pewarna merah K3 dan merah K10. 

“Dua-duanya sangat berisiko untuk kesehatan,” ungkap Reri.

Keduanya merupakan golongan pewarna yang tidak boleh digunakan sebab dapat menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan misalnya, gangguan fungsi ginjal, kerusakan hati hingga kanker. Bahkan disebut bisa menyebabkan kanker karena bersifat karsinogenik.

Dalam daftar yang beredar itu memperlihatkan sejumlah merek kosmetik yang beredar di pasaran. Umumnya, kosmetik-kosmetik tersebut dijual dengan harga murah.

“Iya, data yang ini valid, ya,” tambah keterangan resmi BPOM RI. Salah satu yang disorot di media sosial adalah produk kosmetik milik Madame Gie yang merupakan milik salah satu selebriti Indonesia ini.

Misalnya saja produk Sweet Cheek Blushed 03 milik Madame Gie yang diketahui mengandung pewarna K10. Apa saja 16 daftar kosmetik berbahaya, dalam daftar yang dirilis BPOM:
