JATIMTIMES - Sebuah insiden mengerikan terjadi pada pesawat terbang Ryanair rute Thessaloniki, Yunani, menuju Memmingen, Jerman, Jumat (10/7/2026). Seorang penumpang dilaporkan sempat tersedot keluar melalui jendela pesawat yang tiba-tiba terlepas tak lama setelah lepas landas.

Akibat kejadian tersebut, pesawat Boeing 737 NG itu terpaksa melakukan pendaratan darurat dan kembali ke Bandara Thessaloniki. Dalam pernyataan resminya, Ryanair membenarkan adanya kerusakan pada jendela pesawat saat penerbangan berlangsung.

"Pesawat kembali ke Thessaloniki setelah salah satu jendela penumpang terlepas saat penerbangan. Pesawat mendarat dengan normal dan seluruh penumpang kembali ke terminal," tulis Ryanair, dikutip Reuters, Senin (13/7/2026).

Korban diketahui merupakan warga negara Serbia. Konsulat Serbia menyebut korban langsung dilarikan ke Rumah Sakit Universitas AHEPA di Thessaloniki.

Meski mengalami luka akibat insiden itu, kondisinya dilaporkan tidak mengancam jiwa. Tim dokter masih memeriksa tingkat cedera yang dialaminya.

Media Serbia mengutip kesaksian salah seorang penumpang yang mengatakan kepala dan bahu korban sempat berada di luar badan pesawat sebelum penumpang lain berhasil menariknya kembali ke dalam kabin.

Menurut laporan media lokal Yunani, insiden bermula ketika diduga ada bagian mesin pesawat yang terlepas lalu menghantam jendela hingga pecah. Kerusakan itu menyebabkan tekanan udara di dalam kabin turun drastis (dekompresi), sehingga masker oksigen otomatis keluar.

Video yang beredar di media sosial juga memperlihatkan jendela pesawat yang pecah serta masker oksigen menggantung di langit-langit kabin. Rekaman lain diduga menunjukkan mesin pesawat mengalami kerusakan serius dengan beberapa bilah kipas hilang.

Otoritas Penerbangan Federal Amerika Serikat (FAA) mengonfirmasi pesawat tersebut merupakan Boeing 737 NG, generasi sebelum Boeing 737 MAX. FAA menyatakan siap membantu proses investigasi.

Sementara itu, Boeing mengatakan pihaknya terus berkoordinasi dengan maskapai dan mendukung penyelidikan yang dipimpin otoritas terkait.

"Kami tetap berkomunikasi dan terus mendukung pelanggan kami, Ryanair," kata Boeing dalam keterangan resminya.

Data FlightRadar24 menunjukkan pesawat itu berbalik arah dan kembali ke Thessaloniki beberapa menit setelah lepas landas. Menariknya, pesawat yang sama juga dilaporkan sempat membatalkan penerbangan ke Sarajevo sehari sebelumnya, meski penyebabnya belum diketahui.

Insiden ini mengingatkan pada kecelakaan serupa yang terjadi pada 2018. Saat itu, mesin Boeing 737 NG milik Southwest Airlines mengalami kerusakan hingga serpihannya memecahkan jendela kabin. Seorang penumpang yang sempat tersedot keluar meninggal dunia akibat luka yang dialaminya.

Setelah peristiwa tersebut, Badan Keselamatan Transportasi Nasional Amerika Serikat (NTSB) meminta Boeing mendesain ulang struktur pelindung mesin pada Boeing 737 NG. FAA kemudian mewajibkan perubahan desain tersebut selesai diterapkan paling lambat pada Juli 2028.
