JATIMTIMES - Masa libur sekolah menjadi alasan resmi dihentikannya sementara Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) di Kota Malang. Namun, jeda operasional yang berlangsung mulai 22 Juni hingga pertengahan Juli 2026 itu terjadi di tengah meningkatnya sorotan terhadap pelaksanaan program nasional tersebut.
Hal itu juga menyusul kasus dugaan korupsi yang menyeret tiga mantan pimpinan Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) sebagai tersangka. Terlebih munculnya kasus tersebut juga memperkuat desakan bagi BGN untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap program tersebut.

Seluruh Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) di Kota Malang dipastikan menghentikan aktivitas distribusi makanan selama masa liburan semester ganjil. Artinya, layanan yang selama ini menjadi ujung tombak pelaksanaan MBG untuk peserta didik dan kelompok sasaran lainnya untuk sementara tidak berjalan.
Koordinator Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia (SPPI) Kota Malang, Muhammad Athoillah, mengatakan penghentian tersebut merupakan tindak lanjut Surat Edaran Kepala BGN Nomor 12 Tahun 2026 tentang penyesuaian pelaksanaan MBG selama masa libur sekolah.
"Betul, sesuai Surat Edaran Nomor 12 BGN, SPPG tidak beroperasi selama libur semester ganjil," ujar Athoillah, Senin (22/6/2026).
Di balik penghentian layanan itu, BGN juga tengah menyiapkan proses audit terhadap pelaksanaan program MBG. Karena itu, meski sebagian besar relawan diliburkan, sejumlah personel inti tetap bertugas di masing-masing dapur SPPG untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan administratif dan kebutuhan audit.
"Untuk relawan mengikuti libur operasional SPPG, kecuali staf BGN yang berada di SPPG," katanya.
Menurut Athoillah, personel yang tetap bekerja meliputi kepala SPPG, tenaga akuntan, dan ahli gizi. Mereka bertanggung jawab menyusun laporan, melengkapi administrasi serta menyiapkan berbagai dokumen yang dibutuhkan selama masa penghentian operasional.

Kondisi tersebut membuat penghentian sementara MBG kali ini tidak semata dipandang sebagai konsekuensi libur sekolah. Sebab, di tingkat nasional, pelaksanaan program yang menjadi salah satu prioritas pemerintah itu sedang berada dalam sorotan publik dan menghadapi tuntutan evaluasi menyeluruh terkait tata kelola maupun pengawasannya.
Audit yang dilakukan BGN pun dinilai menjadi momentum untuk mengukur efektivitas pelaksanaan program di lapangan, termasuk sistem pengelolaan anggaran, distribusi layanan hingga mekanisme pengawasan terhadap ribuan dapur SPPG yang tersebar di berbagai daerah.
Meski demikian, Athoillah menegaskan penghentian operasional hanya bersifat sementara. Pelaksanaan MBG di Kota Malang dijadwalkan kembali berjalan setelah masa libur sekolah berakhir atau menunggu arahan terbaru dari pemerintah pusat.
"Nantinya program MBG dijadwalkan kembali berjalan setelah masa libur sekolah berakhir atau sesuai kebijakan terbaru yang diterbitkan BGN," pungkasnya.
