JATIMTIMES - BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Cabang Mojokerto berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan Employee Volunteering II Tahun 2026 yang diwujudkan melalui aksi penanaman mangrove di Kawasan Konservasi Mangrove Wonorejo, Surabaya, pada Kamis (18/6/2026).
Mengusung tema "Go Green", kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi komitmen BPJS Ketenagakerjaan dalam mendukung pelestarian lingkungan serta pembangunan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, kegiatan tersebut juga menjadi bagian dari upaya pencapaian Internal Governance Indicators (IGI) Tahun 2026.

Kegiatan penanaman mangrove diikuti oleh 69 peserta yang merupakan perwakilan dari 10 kantor cabang BPJS Ketenagakerjaan di bawah koordinasi Kantor Wilayah Jawa Timur, termasuk BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Cabang Mojokerto.
Kepala BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Cabang Mojokerto, Imam Haryono Safii, menyampaikan bahwa keterlibatan pegawai dalam kegiatan ini mencerminkan komitmen perusahaan untuk berkontribusi secara nyata terhadap pelestarian lingkungan sekaligus memperkuat budaya kolaborasi di lingkungan kerja.
"Pelestarian lingkungan merupakan tanggung jawab bersama. Melalui kegiatan ini, kami ingin mengambil peran aktif dalam menjaga keberlanjutan ekosistem pesisir melalui penanaman mangrove. Di sisi lain, kegiatan ini juga menjadi momentum untuk memperkuat kebersamaan dan kepedulian sosial di antara insan BPJS Ketenagakerjaan," ujar Imam.
Dalam pelaksanaannya, sebanyak 1.437 bibit mangrove ditanam di area konservasi yang telah ditentukan. Program ini tidak berhenti pada tahap penanaman saja, melainkan juga mencakup proses pemeliharaan, pemantauan pertumbuhan tanaman, hingga pelaporan kontribusi pengurangan emisi karbon kepada Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup selama dua tahun mendatang.
Seluruh bibit yang ditanam berasal dari kontribusi dan partisipasi unit kerja yang terlibat dalam kegiatan Employee Volunteering. Keterlibatan tersebut menunjukkan tingginya kepedulian pegawai terhadap upaya pelestarian lingkungan dan mitigasi perubahan iklim.
Selain memberikan manfaat ekologis melalui perlindungan kawasan pesisir dari ancaman abrasi serta peningkatan kapasitas penyerapan karbon, program ini juga memberikan dampak sosial yang positif bagi masyarakat. Hal ini terlihat dari keterlibatan kelompok petani dan pengelola mangrove yang telah mendapatkan perlindungan melalui program BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.

Kegiatan yang dipimpin langsung oleh Kepala Kantor Wilayah BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Jawa Timur, Irvansyah Utoh Banja, berlangsung dengan lancar dan mendapat sambutan antusias dari seluruh peserta.
Melalui kegiatan Employee Volunteering, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Cabang Mojokerto berharap dapat terus mendorong keterlibatan pegawai dalam berbagai kegiatan sosial dan lingkungan yang memberikan manfaat berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat.
"Kami berharap kegiatan seperti ini dapat terus dilaksanakan secara konsisten sehingga mampu memberikan dampak positif yang lebih luas, baik bagi lingkungan, masyarakat, maupun organisasi. Dengan semangat gotong royong dan kepedulian bersama, kami optimistis dapat turut berkontribusi dalam menciptakan masa depan yang lebih berkelanjutan," tutup Imam Haryono Safii.
