JATIMTIMES - Isu mengenai penghapusan bahan bakar minyak (BBM) subsidi jenis Pertalite kembali ramai diperbincangkan di media sosial. Kabar tersebut mencuat setelah PT Pertamina Patra Niaga mengumumkan penyesuaian harga sejumlah BBM nonsubsidi, seperti Pertamax RON 92 dan Pertamax Green RON 95.
Beredarnya informasi itu membuat sebagian masyarakat khawatir Pertalite akan mengalami nasib serupa, bahkan disebut-sebut bakal dihapus dari pasaran. Kekhawatiran tersebut terlihat dari berbagai komentar warganet yang ramai beredar di media sosial.

Sementara itu, akun @esde**** menulis, "Udah rajin jalan kaki ini kalau bner Pertalite dihapus."
Menanggapi isu yang beredar, Sekretaris Perusahaan Pertamina Patra Niaga, Robert Dumatubun, memastikan bahwa hingga saat ini tidak ada rencana maupun pembahasan terkait penghapusan Pertalite, baik dari pemerintah maupun Pertamina.
"Sampai saat ini belum ada atau belum ada rencana maupun wacana dari Pemerintah maupun Pertamina untuk menghapuskan Pertalite," ujar Robert, dikutip dari Kompas.com, Minggu (14/6/2026).
Ia menilai informasi yang beredar di berbagai platform media sosial tersebut tidak dapat dipertanggungjawabkan kebenarannya. Karena itu, masyarakat diminta tidak mudah percaya terhadap informasi yang sumbernya tidak jelas.
Robert juga mengimbau masyarakat agar selalu melakukan verifikasi sebelum menyebarkan informasi yang diterima, terutama yang berasal dari pesan berantai atau unggahan media sosial yang belum terkonfirmasi.
Menurutnya, pemerintah bersama Pertamina tetap berkomitmen menyalurkan BBM bersubsidi kepada masyarakat sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku. Komitmen tersebut mencakup penyaluran Pertalite maupun Biosolar dengan harga yang tetap.
"Pemerintah dan Pertamina berkomitmen untuk tetap melayani BBM bersubsidi yaitu Pertalite dan Biosolar bagi masyarakat dengan harga tetap, tidak ada penyesuaian secara harga," tegasnya.
Selain isu penghapusan, masyarakat juga sempat dihebohkan dengan rumor adanya pembatasan pembelian Pertalite untuk kendaraan roda dua maupun roda empat. Menanggapi hal tersebut, Robert memastikan hingga saat ini belum ada kebijakan resmi dari pemerintah terkait pembatasan pembelian BBM subsidi tersebut.

"Setahu saya pembatasan itu belum ada ya. Sampai saat ini belum ada atau tidak ada dari pemerintah rencana pembatasan BBM bersubsidi yang diterapkan," katanya Kamis (11/6/2026) kemarin.
Dengan demikian, masyarakat masih dapat membeli Pertalite seperti biasa sesuai aturan yang berlaku saat ini.
Robert menjelaskan bahwa isu pembatasan pembelian Pertalite sebenarnya bukan hal baru. Rumor serupa beberapa kali muncul dan sempat menjadi perbincangan publik, termasuk pada akhir Mei 2026.
Saat itu, Pertamina juga telah memberikan klarifikasi bahwa belum ada aturan yang mengatur pembatasan pembelian Pertalite berdasarkan merek kendaraan maupun kapasitas mesin tertentu.
"Hingga saat ini tidak ada aturan atau arahan dari pemerintah terkait pembatasan Pertalite berdasarkan merek kendaraan tertentu maupun berdasarkan kapasitas mesin kendaraan," ujarnya dalam keterangan resmi.
Untuk menghindari kesalahpahaman, masyarakat disarankan memperoleh informasi dari sumber resmi, seperti Pertamina Contact Center 135 atau kanal komunikasi resmi Pertamina lainnya.
