Acara sosialisasi Desa Migran Aman yang digelar oleh Disnaker Jember.
JATIMTIMES - Kegiatan sosialisasi Migrasi Aman Bekerja ke Luar Negeri yang diselenggarakan Dinas Tenaga Kerja Kabupaten Jember di Balai Desa Kesilir, Kecamatan Wuluhan, Kamis 4 Juni 2026, tidak hanya diikuti oleh calon pekerja migran Indonesia (PMI), tetapi juga mendapat perhatian dari para purna-PMI yang pernah bekerja di luar negeri.
Sosialisasi yang menghadirkan narasumber dari Imigrasi Jember, BP3MI Jawa Timur, dan Migrant Care Jember tersebut bertujuan memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat mengenai prosedur bekerja ke luar negeri secara resmi, aman, dan sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku.

Dalam kegiatan tersebut, peserta mendapatkan informasi mengenai proses penempatan PMI, persyaratan administrasi, perlindungan hukum, hak dan kewajiban pekerja migran, hingga berbagai risiko yang dapat muncul apabila bekerja melalui jalur nonprosedural.
Salah satu peserta yang turut hadir adalah Marwiah, purna-PMI yang pernah bekerja di Taiwan. Dengan pengalaman yang dimilikinya, Marwiah menilai kegiatan sosialisasi seperti ini sangat penting untuk membekali masyarakat sebelum memutuskan bekerja ke luar negeri.
Menurut dia, pemahaman mengenai prosedur keberangkatan dan perlindungan PMI harus dimiliki sejak awal agar pekerja migran dapat menjalankan pekerjaannya dengan aman dan nyaman.
"Saya pernah bekerja di Taiwan dan merasakan langsung bagaimana pentingnya memahami prosedur sebelum berangkat. Informasi yang diberikan dalam sosialisasi ini sangat bermanfaat karena membantu calon PMI mengetahui hak, kewajiban, serta perlindungan yang akan mereka terima selama bekerja di luar negeri," ungkap Marwiah.
Ia juga mengingatkan masyarakat agar tidak mudah tergoda oleh tawaran pekerjaan yang menjanjikan proses cepat tanpa kelengkapan dokumen resmi.
Marwiah berharap kegiatan sosialisasi migrasi aman dapat terus dilaksanakan hingga ke tingkat desa karena masih banyak masyarakat yang membutuhkan informasi yang benar mengenai proses bekerja ke luar negeri. Menurut dia, keberadaan pemerintah, BP3MI, Imigrasi, dan lembaga pendamping PMI sangat membantu masyarakat dalam memperoleh informasi yang terpercaya dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan.

Selama kegiatan berlangsung, peserta tampak aktif berdiskusi dengan para narasumber. Berbagai pertanyaan disampaikan terkait proses pembuatan paspor, kontrak kerja, negara tujuan penempatan, hingga prosedur perlindungan PMI apabila menghadapi masalah selama bekerja.
Kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dari upaya berkelanjutan Pemerintah Kabupaten Jember dalam memperkuat edukasi migrasi aman kepada masyarakat. Dengan meningkatnya pemahaman masyarakat, diharapkan angka keberangkatan PMI nonprosedural dapat terus ditekan.
Melalui sosialisasi ini, masyarakat tidak hanya mendapatkan informasi mengenai peluang kerja di luar negeri, tetapi juga memahami pentingnya perlindungan dan keselamatan sebagai prioritas utama sebelum memutuskan menjadi pekerja migran Indonesia.
Pemerintah Kabupaten Jember melalui Dinas Tenaga Kerja berkomitmen untuk terus menghadirkan program edukasi dan pelindungan PMI guna menciptakan pekerja migran yang profesional, berdaya saing, dan mampu membawa manfaat bagi keluarga maupun daerah asalnya.
