JATIMTIMES - Anggota Komisi D DPRD Jember Ahmad Syahri Assidiqi akhirnya buka suara usai viral karena kedapatan bermain game sambil merokok saat rapat resmi berlangsung. Politikus Partai Gerindra itu mengakui tindakannya tidak pantas dan menyampaikan permintaan maaf kepada masyarakat.

Legislator yang akrab disapa Gus Syahri tersebut mengatakan dirinya khilaf atas perilaku yang menuai sorotan publik itu. "Saya sadar apa yang saya lakukan. Saya khilaf. Semoga ini menjadi pembelajaran dalam hidup saya," kata Syahri, dikutip Instagram @visitjember, Kamis (14/5/2026).

Permintaan maaf itu disampaikan secara terbuka setelah video dirinya bermain game saat rapat beredar luas di media sosial. Dalam rekaman tersebut, Syahri terlihat asyik memainkan game Clash of Clans (CoC) sambil merokok di dalam ruangan rapat ber-AC.

Padahal saat itu DPRD Jember tengah menggelar rapat penting terkait penanganan stunting di Kabupaten Jember.

Syahri mengaku menyesal atas tindakannya. Ia pun meminta maaf kepada masyarakat Jember sebagai konstituennya, termasuk kepada pimpinan Partai Gerindra.

"Saya mohon maaf sebesar-besarnya kepada masyarakat, khususnya kepada masyarakat Jember. Saya juga meminta maaf kepada ketua umum dan jajaran pimpinan partai atas perilaku yang tidak etis tersebut," ujarnya.

Tak hanya itu, Syahri juga menyatakan siap menerima sanksi apabila tindakannya dianggap melanggar etika sebagai anggota dewan. "Saya siap mendapatkan sanksi, baik dari pihak internal partai maupun dari lembaga DPRD kabupaten," ungkapnya.

Sebagaimana diberitakan sebelumnya, aksi Syahri menjadi sorotan lantaran rapat yang berlangsung saat itu membahas isu serius mengenai penanganan stunting di Jember.

Dalam forum tersebut hadir sejumlah pihak penting, mulai dari perwakilan Dinas Kesehatan, BPJS, hingga kepala puskesmas se-Kabupaten Jember.

Rapat digelar untuk membahas solusi penanganan persoalan kesehatan masyarakat, khususnya kasus stunting yang masih menjadi perhatian pemerintah daerah.

Namun di tengah jalannya rapat, kamera menyorot Syahri yang tampak sibuk bermain game di ponselnya sambil merokok. Momen itu kemudian viral dan menuai kritik dari warganet di media sosial.
