Diskominfo Kabupaten Malang Dorong Provider Bangun BTS di Daerah Blankspot

JATIMTIMES - Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo) Kabupaten Malang terus mendorong seluruh provider agar bersedia berinvestasi dengan membangun menara atau tower Base Trasceiver Station atau BTS di titik-titik blankspot di Kabupaten Malang. 

"Kami berupaya mendorong provider telekomunikasi untuk berinvestasi dan mendirikan tower-tower di beberapa titik untuk mengurangi blankspot," ungkap Kepala Diskominfo Kabupaten Malang Atsalis Supriyanto.

Menurutnya, hal itu dilakukan agar titik-titik blankspot atau daerah yang tidak terjangkau jaringan internet di Kabupaten Malang perlahan dapat berkurang. Pasalnya, berdasarkan data terakhir masih terdapat 85 titik blankspot di Kabupaten Malang. 

Sebanyak 85 titik blankspot di Kabupaten Malang tersebut tersebar di 79 desa yang berada di 19 kecamatan. Di antaranya Kecamatan Ampelgading, Dampit, Tirtoyudo, Bantur,  Donomulyo, Gedangan, Sumbermanjing Wetan, Pagak, Ngajum, Jabung, Tumpang, Poncokusumo, Turen, Wagir, Wajak, Wonosari, Pujon, Ngantang dan Kasembon. 

Pihaknya menyebut, pelibatan pihak provider dalam mengurangi titik blankspot dengan pendirian BTS merupakan upaya Diskominfo Kabupaten Malang di tengah efisiensi anggaran. Di mana dengan adanya kebijakan efisiensi anggaran juga menyebabkan terhambatnya proses pengadaan jaringan internet di titik blankspot. 

Atsalis menyebut, di tahun 2026, sudah ada beberapa pihak provider yang meminta rekomendasi ke Diskominfo Kabupaten Malang untuk mendirikan menara BTS di wilayah Kabupaten Malang. Setidaknya, dalam perencanaan awal terdapat 30 menara BTS yang akan didirikan di beberapa titik blankspot. "Harapan kami nantinya bisa mengurangi blankspot di beberapa kecamatan seperti Gedangan, Sumbermanjing Wetan dan lainnya," kata Atsalis.

Lebih lanjut, pihaknya juga sedang melakukan pendekatan dengan PT. Telkom Indonesia untuk pemasangan menara BTS di kawasan Sekolah Rakyat (SR) yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Bantur. Hal itu dilakukan agar akses internet di Sekolah Rakyat dapat terpenuhi sekaligus mengurangi titik blankspot di wilayah Malang Selatan.
