Ahmadi Wijaya menerima bendera estafet untuk memimpin PASI Jember hasil muskablub.
JATIMTIMES - Pemilik suara Musyawarah Kabupaten Luar Biasa (Muskablub) Persatuan Atletik Seluruh Indonesia (PASI) Kabupaten Jember membuat keputusan mutlak. Secara aklamasi, Muskablub PASI telah memilih Ahmadi Wijaya sebagai ketua umum untuk menakhodai organisasi tersebut selama periode 2026-2029.
Ahmadi merupakan figur berlatar belakang pengusaha alat peraga pendidikan yang juga aktif berkecimpung sebagai bendahara umum di Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) Jember.

Muskablub PASI digelar karena kondisi kesehatan ketua umum demisioner Hamim yang sedang sakit tidak memungkinkan menjalankan roda organisasi.
Selama muskablub berlangsung, sejumlah pihak turut hadir mengikuti jalannya acara yang berlangsung relatif singkat. Antara lain perwakilan klub-klub atletik, Disporaparbud, KONI, dan Pengprov PASI Jawa Timur.
Ahmadi menyampaikan komitmennya setelah terpilih dengan berbagai janji terkait pengembangan atletik. Termasuk penyegaran personel yang mengelola organisasi.
"Langkah awal yang akan kami lakukan adalah pembenahan organisasi. Kami juga akan mengadakan pertemuan dengan para ketua klub atletik serta mengundang mantan atlet Jember yang pernah berprestasi di ajang PON maupun SEA Games untuk memberikan masukan," ujarnya.
Menurut dia, pilar vital PASI terletak pada upaya pembinaan atlet yang menjadi program prioritas. Kapasitas atlet bakal menentukan prestasi tentang capaian hanya level lokal atau justru naik ke regional, atau bahkan nasional.
Ahmadi menargetkan atlet asal Jember bisa menjadi bagian yang memperkuat tim Jawa Timur pada PON 2028 di NTB serta tampil di SEA Games maupun Asian Games.
PASI segera merancang program guna pencarian dan pembinaan bibit atlet mulai bulan Juni mendatang. Program tersebut akan dikemas melalui kompetisi mulai tingkat pelajar SD/MI, SMP/MTs, SMA/SMK/MA.

"Yang dilombakan seperti lari 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 800 meter, 1.500 meter, hingga 3.000 meter, serta nomor lapangan seperti lempar cakram, lempar lembing, tolak peluru, lompat tinggi, dan lompat jauh. Selanjutnya, para juara diproyeksikan mengikuti kejuaraan tingkat kabupaten pada Agustus 2026," papar Ahmadi.
Nomor estafet dan lari gawang juga akan menjadi bagian dari kompetisi tersebut. Tinggal menunggu penyediaan sarana dan prasarana yang secepatnya terealisasi pasca pelantikan pengurus PASI sebentar lagi.
Ahmadi berancang-ancang membuat event unggulan PASI Jember. Yakni, lari maraton nasional dengan rute start Alun-Alun Jember dan finis di Pantai Watu Ulo.
“Kami optimistis kegiatan ini akan menjadi daya tarik bagi peserta dari luar daerah sekaligus menjadi sarana promosi wisata Jember. Kita mendukung program sport tourism yang dicanangkan Bupati Jember Gus Fawait," jelasnya.
Ahmadi mengingatkan sejarah kejayaan atletik Jember di era 1990-an yang melahirkan atlet-atlet berprestasi seperti Soni Harsono, yang kini menjadi pelatih di Jember Marching Band, serta nama-nama lain seperti Sukamdi dan Basri Ahmad Zainuri. Harapannya generasi atlet sekarang mengulang kejayaan yang telah lama hilang.
