JATIMTIMES (Disperpussip) Kota Batu memastikan bakal melakukan perombakan jam operasional layanan perpustakaan yang lebih fleksibel. Jika sebelumnya layanan hanya tersedia pada hari kerja, kini akses literasi dipastikan segera dibuka hingga hari Sabtu.
Kebutuhan penambahan jam sempat menjadi keluhan masyarakat utamanya pelajar yang hanya bisa memanfaatkan layanan literasi di siang hari saat weekday. Terlebih, dengan jam operasional harian yang dirasa cukup singkat.

Kebijakan pembukaan di hari Sabtu diambil dalam menjawab kalangan siswa yang selama ini merasa terbatasi oleh jam operasional yang singkat. Rencananya, penambahan jam layanan di akhir pekan ini akan mulai direalisasikan pada bulan April ini juga.
Kepala Disperpussip Kota Batu, Abdul Rais , mengungkapkan bahwa pihaknya sangat memahami keresahan para pemustaka. Selama ini, para siswa kerap menemui kendala saat ingin mencari referensi tugas atau sekadar membaca buku, mengingat mereka baru bisa berkunjung setelah pulang sekolah di sore hari, sementara perpustakaan sudah hampir tutup.
"Memang ada kebutuhan untuk menyediakan fasilitas belajar justru di saat anak-anak sekolah tidak terikat oleh jam pelajaran formal. Dengan membuka layanan di hari Sabtu, diharapkan para pelajar memiliki waktu yang lebih luang untuk mengeksplorasi koleksi buku tanpa harus terburu-buru oleh tenggat waktu jam kerja pegawai," katanya saat ditemui JatimTIMES, belum lama ini.
Meskipun Surat Keputusan (SK) mengenai layanan hari Sabtu sudah dikantongi, Disperpusip saat ini masih menyelesaikan kendala teknis administratif. Salah satu fokus utamanya adalah melakukan sinkronisasi dengan Badan Kepegawaian dan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BKPSDM) terkait sistem absensi digital pegawai.
Sinkronisasi ini dinilai sangat penting mengingat penambahan hari kerja bagi aparatur sipil negara memerlukan penyesuaian pada aplikasi presensi. Hal ini bertujuan agar rotasi petugas yang berjaga di hari Sabtu tetap terpantau secara administratif dan sesuai dengan regulasi kepegawaian yang berlaku di lingkungan Pemkot Batu.
Terkait wacana pembukaan layanan hingga malam hari atau pukul 20.00 WIB, Rais menjelaskan bahwa rencana tersebut sebenarnya sempat masuk dalam simulasi. Namun, untuk saat ini, layanan malam hari masih harus ditunda karena keterbatasan jumlah personel teknis yang tersedia di dinas tersebut.

"Karena kita masih terbatas, saat ini untuk rolling (shift jaga) di layanan perpustakaan bisa maksimal hari Sabtu. Kalau sampai malam masih belum," jelasnya.
Pihaknya saat ini masih mencari formula rotasi yang paling ideal agar pelayanan tetap prima tanpa memberikan beban kerja yang berlebihan bagi staf. Oleh karena itu, langkah pembukaan layanan di hari Sabtu diambil sebagai tahap awal evaluasi sebelum nantinya mempertimbangkan perluasan jam layanan lebih jauh.
Nantinya, penambahan jam layanan ini tidak hanya berlaku di Perpustakaan Daerah yang berlokasi di Jalan Kartini saja. Masyarakat juga bisa menikmati akses literasi di Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) yang berada di kawasan strategis seperti Taman Hutan Bondas.
Ia berharap, langkah transformatif ini mampu meningkatkan indeks literasi masyarakat Kota Batu. Dengan akses yang lebih terbuka di hari libur, perpustakaan diharapkan benar-benar menjadi ruang publik yang hidup dan ramah bagi semua kalangan, mulai dari anak-anak, pelajar, hingga masyarakat umum.
