JATIMTIMES - Aksi pencurian sepeda pancal yang sempat meresahkan warga akhirnya berhasil diungkap Satreskrim Polresta Malang Kota. Dua pelaku yang diketahui merupakan residivis ditangkap setelah diduga mencuri sedikitnya delapan sepeda di wilayah Kota dan Kabupaten Malang.
Kasus ini mencuat dari laporan korban Arifin Latif (37), warga Kabupaten Kediri, yang kehilangan sepeda gunung miliknya jenis Polygon Siskiu T-7 warna biru hitam dengan kerugian sekitar Rp22 juta. Peristiwa itu terjadi di kawasan Perumahan Taman Tektona Residence, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang.

Didampingi Kasi Humas Ipda Lukman Sobhikin, Kasatreskrim Polresta Malang Kota AKP Rahmad Aji Prabowo menjelaskan, kejadian berlangsung pada Jumat 10 April 2026 sekitar pukul 14.30 WIB. Saat itu, sepeda milik korban diparkir di teras rumah tanpa pengaman.
“Korban memarkirkan sepeda di teras rumah tanpa pagar dan tidak dikunci. Pada saat ditinggal, pelaku memanfaatkan situasi tersebut untuk mengambil sepeda,” ungkap Aji, Kamis (16/4/2026).
Berbekal rekaman CCTV dan keterangan saksi, tim opsnal Satreskrim langsung bergerak melakukan penyelidikan. Hasilnya, identitas pelaku berhasil dikantongi hingga akhirnya dilakukan penangkapan.
Pada Selasa 14 April 2026 sekitar pukul 15.30 WIB, dua tersangka berhasil diamankan di kawasan Jalan Borobudur, Kecamatan Blimbing, Kota Malang. Keduanya berinisial IAA (28) laki-laki asal Gresik dan SMY (20) perempuan asal Surabaya.
Dari hasil pemeriksaan, keduanya mengaku telah melakukan pencurian sepeda sebanyak delapan kali. Aksi tersebut dilakukan secara berulang di dua wilayah berbeda.
“Dari pengakuan tersangka, mereka telah beraksi empat kali di Kota Malang dan empat kali di wilayah Kabupaten Malang. Ini menunjukkan adanya pola kejahatan yang terstruktur dan menjadi perhatian serius kami,” ungkap Aji.

Dalam penangkapan tersebut, polisi turut mengamankan sejumlah barang bukti berupa rekaman CCTV, jaket parasut warna merah, serta topi hitam bertuliskan “Deus”. Keterangan saksi juga menjadi penguat dalam pengungkapan kasus ini.
Atas perbuatannya, kedua tersangka dijerat dengan Pasal 476 KUHP tentang pencurian dengan ancaman hukuman pidana penjara paling lama lima tahun. Polisi menilai adanya unsur dilakukan secara berulang dan bersama-sama dapat menjadi faktor pemberat.
“Kami imbauan kepada masyarakat agar lebih waspada, khususnya dalam menjaga barang berharga di lingkungan tempat tinggal,” tegasnya.
Saat ini, kedua tersangka telah diamankan di Mako Polresta Malang Kota untuk menjalani proses penyidikan lebih lanjut. Polisi juga telah melakukan penahanan serta menyampaikan pemberitahuan resmi kepada keluarga masing-masing tersangka.
