JATIMTIMES - Wilayah Malang Raya yang meliputi Kota Malang, Kota Batu, dan Kabupaten Malang kini memasuki masa peralihan musim atau pancaroba. Pada fase ini, potensi terjadinya cuaca ekstrem diperkirakan meningkat dan perlu diwaspadai masyarakat.

Prakirawan dari BMKG Stasiun Klimatologi Karangploso Malang, Retno Wulandari, membenarkan kondisi tersebut. Ia menjelaskan bahwa saat ini wilayah Jawa Timur, khususnya Malang Raya, tengah bertransisi dari musim hujan menuju musim kemarau.

"Saat ini, pada umumnya wilayah Jawa Timur dan khususnya Malang Raya telah memasuki periode peralihan dari musim hujan ke musim kemarau. Selama periode peralihan ini, cuaca ekstrem seperti hujan dengan intensitas lebat, angin kencang hingga hujan es berpotensi masih terjadi," ujarnya, Jumat (10/4/2026).

Retno mengungkapkan, kondisi ini dipicu oleh fenomena atmosfer gelombang Rossby yang mendorong pembentukan awan hujan. Dampaknya, potensi cuaca ekstrem diperkirakan masih akan terjadi dalam beberapa hari ke depan.

"Sedangkan untuk awal musim kemarau di wilayah Malang Raya, diprediksi akan terjadi mulai akhir April Tetapi karena cuaca ini dinamis, maka tentunya terus kami pantau dan kami update informasinya," terangnya.

Selain itu, kondisi perairan selatan Jawa juga menunjukkan dinamika. Pada pagi hingga siang hari, tinggi gelombang masih terpantau relatif rendah, yakni sekitar 1,2 meter. Namun, memasuki siang hingga sore, gelombang diperkirakan meningkat seiring potensi hujan deras. "Namun saat siang hingga sore, diperkirakan gelombangnya akan tinggi. Karena biasanya di waktu tersebut juga terjadi hujan deras," jelasnya.

Dalam situasi pancaroba ini, masyarakat diminta meningkatkan kewaspadaan terhadap potensi bencana hidrometeorologi seperti banjir, angin kencang, puting beliung, hingga tanah longsor.

"Dengan adanya potensi cuaca ekstrem ini, kami mengimbau kepada masyarakat untuk tetap waspada dan berhati-hati khususnya bagi yang beraktivitas di luar ruangan. Kami juga mengimbau kepada masyarakat, untuk rutin memantau perkembangan informasi kondisi cuaca lewat kanal resmi baik lewat situs web, aplikasi Info BMKG, maupun media sosial resmi," tandasnya.
