JATIMTIMES - Jika sedang berkunjung ke Kabupaten Tulungagung, tak lengkap rasanya jika belum mengunjungi Alun-Alun Tulungagung. Rupanya, Alun-alun Tulungagung pernah menyandang predikat sebagai Taman Kota Terbaik tingkat Nasional.

Masyarakat Tulungagung biasanya menikmati waktu bersama teman, kolega, maupun keluarga dengan duduk santai di Alun-alun Tulungagung. Tak heran jika banyak yang memilih untuk wisata piknik sembari menikmati makanan di Taman Alun-alun Tulungagung.

Menariknya, di tengah Alun-alun Tulungagung terdapat sebuah tugu patung Garuda dengan tinggi kurang lebih 30 meter. Patung Garuda di tengah Alun-alun Tulungagung ini menjadi ciri khas tersendiri bagi siapa pun yang datang ke sana. Bahkan, Patung Garuda di tengah Alun-Alun Tulungagung menjadi ikon terbaik yang ada di kabupaten tersebut.
